  2. I agrea with stoxs, it's nice to see someone going againts continuity and making a feature of a fallen tree, as was said it's not a danger and i looks kinda pretty in a well kept landscape.
  3. Thanks for that, make some good reading. 46 fatal? wondered how many were arbs? scafolders maybe but what other profesionals who work at heights make sure they are tied (usualy) at two points to a stationary object (tree i our case) to prevent a fall or injury.

  6. Have to say I'm the only one who uses the ladder (sorry no tickets), my lead climber refuses to use them. I think it's comon sense if I think it's unsafe I wont even atempt it but thats h&s for you.
  7. Umm interesting, I use stihl filling system and not really noticed but will have a good look next time as not something I really look at. On another note I like using my 181 for trimming stems and sometimes the oil cap pops of covering me in chain oil, what am I doing wrong and has anyone had this happen on 200t?

  11. Hi guys, thought I would give you an up date. Thanks for all your advice and have gone with 3.5ton dumper, getting the wood up that high was not easy and had a brown trouser moment when I hit a covered up hole with nearly flipped the dumper but made light work so far should be finished by tomorrw. Last thing, regret not getting the hire company deliver the dumper to the site as took me nearly 45 mins to drive it 4 miles out of town.
  12. I always use a blakes hitch with micro pulley seems to suit me better.
