  1. I suppose it's all relitive, as conditions per tree during the year may differ, good exercise though.
  2. Hi Edd can you let me know if interested in douglass fir.

  3. I think tree oficers are best kept straight out of colege and in the dark it makes our job easier in the long run i think I have to deal with nt, I think if they came from a working background there would be to many conflicts, at the moment i'm just happy to do what the recomend.
  4. Yeh we will be, they are so high i can risk them braking up on impact also i dont want to damage any smaller trees cus it will be counter productive.
  5. I use the stihl leather chainsaw gloves but like said they dont stand for much especially in the rain, i shouldn't say this but mainly use the yellow workman gloves with the rubber webbing on them, much safer to use in all conditions now if they can bring out chainsaw version we would all be saved.
  6. Thanks for contact, i'll drop them in 25ft sections to save them breaking on impact, it's nice to work for an estate that cares about future of trees not just quick buck.
  7. Oh had to say it's part of a 150 acre douglas fir plantation so wont be denting it
  8. Did you get my pm? just wondering cus you seem to have problems with it.

  13. Well that may be telling lol but it is more than £15 per tonne, I'm buying it as fire wood but will decide when i get it down what to do with it, the owner seems egar to get t down so will see.

  19. Hi, can any one tell me if douglas fir can be used for fire wood, i have been offered some standing and need to work out most profitable use for it, i will be greatfull for any ideas.
  20. Hi I use the ms170 for pruning work and most up tree work. at the moment it is being used by the new lad, who has dropped it, landed trees on it and generally given it a hard time and is still going strong so would recomomend it to any one, especially as it's cheap and light.
  21. I took the truck up on the local hill to do a bit of snow driving when coming back down there were all these muppets trying to get up with no grasp on how it should be done. It turned out all the problems was caused by a merc driver with slick tyres trying to get up hill and wondering why he wasn;t getting any grip.
  22. I want one, i'm in line for a double cab and the extras would be ideal, can you tell me who done it?
