Don't really know how this thread is panning out but thought i'd let you know started tidying up the ancient oak (dont know if you remember highclimbers) but have cleared up the previous cuts and tidied up a few limbs, be interested in your opinion as i have decided to leave the lower two branches as although they are large they seem safe and healthy also i have decided to leave the upper crown although there is damage but had a look and the tree seems to be healthy and regenerating itself. also i have i tidied up the surrounding areas and found a couple of stumps left a little high but couldn't comment on the cuts. any advice from anyone is appreciated as ancient oak preservation is not my speciality.

  3. Hi what type of wood and what size is your friend looking for?
  4. I would run 2 x 2 man teams one for days and one for nights or split weeks so they can relax for half the week and go down the pub. Cant expect any one to cope with working both shifts, not safely any way.

I would recomend a hilux up to 2000 will be your ticket. they do hold there prices well and out proform the competion, the problem is they come at a premuim and owners tend to hold on to them (hence they are hard to find). if you want cheep and cheerful for now i would recomend similar ford ranger.

    where i live there is a communal car park so got home one night and was met by a gentalman who owns the holiday house which backs on to the car park and he wanted his eucaliptus pruning so got the silky out of the truck. Took 45mins, not bad job to have for £50 the misses even bought me a cup of tea whilst i was doing it.

  20. I see myself as a shihl whore. mind you try calling up suppliers and asking for a silky big boy and see how many laughs you get. Mind you doesnt every body love new kit, i'm even getting excided about my optime 3's coming for my helmet.
