  4. In Australian dollars 60p is roughly a dollar, kit is generally more expensive here but as the rope is locally made its pretty cheap for us, 5 50 is about 3pound i think Sent from my GT-I9300T using Tapatalk 2
  5. I bought a whole reel Haha Sent from my GT-I9300T using Tapatalk 2
  6. Pretty easy to get hold off though Treegear, treetools and treestuff(will get it very soon) will all deliver to the UK, it's quite cool for us in Melbourne as it's locally made here cool to support our local Arb businesses Sent from my GT-I9300T using Tapatalk 2
  7. I have always been interested in the fly they are bringing them out with the slaice instead of the kernmantle splice which makes it look alot better Sent from my GT-I9300T using Tapatalk 2
  8. I have been using cougar blue for the past couple of weeks it's an awesome line really like it, we use there rigging lines at work pretty basic but get utterly done there access lines are good value butility aren't the best(that's not including 10mm armorpruss) Sent from my GT-I9300T using Tapatalk 2
  9. I have heard of one accident guy was cutting saw kicked into is right leg hit the front protection them drove the saw into the back of his unprotected left leg but could be avoided by better work positioning Sent from my GT-I9300T using Tapatalk 2
  10. I work for a small company called total tree care, Citywide is good to go to as a foot in the door and they will sponsor you the guys i know really like it there but its not for everyone work is easy to find. Sent from my GT-I9300T using Tapatalk 2
  11. Wouldn't go back to type c good work positioning and correct saw use is safer than any thickness or set up of trousers Sent from my GT-I9300T using Tapatalk 2
  12. Depending on what your planning on rigging you can make loopies and whoopies out of cover of 16 strand or even some double braid but that's only really for light rigging 16 strand can be a Pita to splice though Sent from my GT-I9300T using Tapatalk 2
  13. Could the issue be the oval crab with its small top? Maybe an Hms or similar be better Sent from my GT-I9300T using Tapatalk 2
  14. Citywide tend to do alot of powerline clearance in a bucket and some park work in Melbourne i know guys who work there they say it's pretty easy but allot of them haven't climbed in a while, it's pretty easy to find work and it's not hard to get sponsored alot of companies do it large or small, Arran i knew know one over here mate and i love it here now first 6 months is the hardest but stuff falls into place soon enough i wouldn't worry about experience that much i came out here a year out of college and just worked hard and now i feel I'm miles ahead of what i would have been in the UK. The economy is stronger so people have more tolerance if work takes you little longer just go for it mate Sent from my GT-I9300T using Tapatalk 2
  15. Sent from my GT-I9300T using Tapatalk 2
  16. HAHa Sent from my GT-I9300T using Tapatalk 2
  17. What's the point in the time taken to muck around doing that you could have got to the ground and not had to do the hokie pokie to descend Sent from my GT-I9300T using Tapatalk 2
  18. You could pass a bight through the big eye the clip a krab into the bight but it seems a bit OTT imo Sent from my GT-I9300T using Tapatalk 2
  19. If your using a figure 8 on your bridge i can't really see how you could descend with it considering it has to be removed from the crab to use it in normal circumstances , unless I'm being an idiot Sent from my GT-I9300T using Tapatalk 2
  20. I have been using cougar blue and is working really well is thicker then my velocity and runs really well, as Pete says clean rope, may be a new clutch is in order and more practice using the wooden brake if he has burnt a clutch out Sent from my GT-I9300T using Tapatalk 2
  21. It's a bit hard for people to believe you when you don't answer criticism properly i mean of course you believe it's the best product, but in order to convince others surely you have to let the product do the talking and allow people form unbiased opinions. Instead of saying he doesn't have a clue let him try the product to try and change his opinion. It's pretty normal for new products to meet initial criticism but your attitude won't help the situation Sent from my GT-I9300T using Tapatalk 2
  22. 250g Harrison Rockets with zing it can't beat a light bag on smooth bark trees have ordered some 200g bags but I'm still waiting on them Sent from my GT-I9300T using Tapatalk 2
