  1. like i said in my origional post , i would liuke a newer big saw for work within the tree . ie whan im climbing . i know i can fell nearly three times the bar size but what the hell ! i have an ms 880 so no need for that lol . i have been thinking about buying a 441 but have heard conflicting reports on them
  2. yeah i think so , its been a few years since a have seen any of them . think i might have to bore the misus tonight and see if i cand find any of them to watch ha ha
  3. great vid tom , what size husky is it that your using in that vid ??
  4. How wierd , i was just about to wright somethn along those lines , im sure they were extras in hot shots part deux !!!!!!!!!!
  5. dont get me wrong , i know what you mean . i would not say that im the fastest of climbers but i pride my self on getting the job done safely and to the highest of standards , i run my own company and we do get a large share of the big jobs down here . i have had "fast" climbers come to work for me and 2 out of 3 times it has ended in tears when something gets broken . but down here in cornwall there are not many firms that will pay any more than £120 a day for a spot on climber . 3 years ago i was subbing out to companies with all of my own saws , climbing gear and a lowering kit and i could still only get £80 a day
  6. looks like a bit of Rhododendron as well , oh
  7. i think the trouble with working one day a week and charging £1000 per day is that the sort of work there is out there is few and far betwene . down here in cornwall i would get about a day a month if i was lucky
  8. cool , i may weel pop up mate , but will give you a shout before i do .
  9. only if she is over 34 stone and has something to strap round her waist lmao
  10. too right they are , firstly i would need a groundsman that can take pictures oh and secondly i will need a new cammera !!!!!!!
  11. im sure there have been similar threads done before but here goes - im looking to replace my old husky 288XP , it has been a great saw that is still used on a daily basis but its starting to show signs that its loosing power . so do i get a stihl ms660 or maybe something slightly smaller or do i go for a husky that is similar in size ?? my main requirment is that it needs to be climber friendly ! as the 880 with 36 inch bar on it is a tad to heavy for taking down a main stem whilst on spikes , i have had a stihl ms361 for the last couple years and it has been an amazing saw both on the ground and in the tree but i cant help wnting to give a husky a go . so what do you guys suggest????
  12. i think if i was working as a subby climber using my own climbing gear , saws from my ms200 - ms880 , pluss a lowering kit i would expect no less than 250 a day
  13. wicked thakns chaps will do . i personally can get rid of all my chip but im down in cornwall and i guess for my mate in london its totally different
  14. it depends on what i was subbing out i guess
  15. 50p and a bag or dolly mixtures !!!!!!
  16. lol , and i bet its not a ford focus ha ha , i hear that the merc amg is the choice of dentists lol
  17. has it failed yet ????? didnt think so . keep climbing !!!! only joaking mate , i tend to use my old climbing ropes for light lowering and tow ropes etc but make sure they are marked NOT FOR CLIMBING . failing that maybe give them to a local Zoo for them to use in the enclosures ??? just an idea
  18. Fair enough Tommer i will stay clear . but if i see you within 8 miles of penzance you will have to be prepared to be clamped lmao jokes !!!!!
  19. ha ha , how much pain did the dentist inflict then ?? i personlly have not seen a dentist since the last one decided that a deep filling without anesthetic !!! hence why i aint seen a dentist in 4 years
  20. sorry my bed !!! yet another typo that i did not see
  21. hiya guyss i have a mate thats running a tree surgery company in london and due to the smal premises that he opperates from he has run out of space to store wood chip . he was asking me who there is out there that may buy it or at least take it away . so do any of you guys know of anyone who buys wood chip or that can take it away regularly ?? Many thanks for any help you can give Cheers. Dave
