  1. Put the pto in 1000 and revs around 1800 ul be fine wot chipper is it?my TP 200 said the same I ran it in 1000 speed for brash 1500 revs and for wood up to capacity 2200 every hod is on its own merit for saving fuel
  2. I bought dre to protect my gear he is savage better than any cameras or alarms

I had a 1200 as we no it was putting 120 hp out which was useless on the road with a load on sent it to vos and it came back with 180hp then it was a monster just wouldn't stop pulling it was worth every penny to get it done we thort about getting a u1600 or simalar but we wanted to keep the smaller u1200 to get in places

  6. Tp all day long mine took some serious pain and kept going and would chip anything you can feed in to it
  7. Haha there a 3.5 ton truck legally aswell I'm sure I'd be over that as well!I will still get 1 there's not a better looking truck out there
  8. Oh can they only tow 2 ton? I thort they would be on 3.5 ton I've got a 12ft by 6.6ft whitch cage sides so can fit plenty in it I mite have to have a little rethink I'd get a 7.5 tonner or bigger as I have my hgv but I don't get enuf work to warrenty them

I like that Johnny I think they look a lot smarter than transits and round me every transit driver is a jipo on the rob or advertising lopping and topping ha i remapped my 08 plate defender and now it could make the earth spin the other way it's down to 15-18 mpg plus I want something I can huck my chipper up to and do to domestic jobs with.would it pull my ifor tipper behind it loaded ok
  10. Hi just wondering if anyone has or drive a sprinter tipper just wondering how they cope with arb work and how they are on diesel fed up of my defender and it thinking diesel is free with how much it drinks! Thanks mark
  11. I hire in a lad with his own tractor and splitter for the ever increasing customers that want to keep the wood but not a clue how to even start splitting it he charges me £25 per hour
  12. I used to take mine on the mway all the time vosa never realy bothered me go pulled up once got checked it was on red and they let us go nothing said all cranes are on red diesel it's just the luck on the day and make sure it's 100% rite
  13. In this day and age a good grounds man should be on £100 a day
  14. Greenmech 150 for me is wel worth a look the side rollers will suprise you with what they can snap and drag in think its a 750kg as a tow machine and the realy good on diesel get at least 2 days of very heavy work to 1 tank of fuel
  15. I'm having a go at a navey gore tex jacket surplus army coats brand new found it on eBay think it was only £35 they are fairly long so won't be that good for climbing but a brilliant groundsman coat worth a look
  16. That's just the USA for you for every 1 we have here they will have 100 if not 1000 it's just the size of the country same goes for everything mowers grinders chippers trucks and so on

  18. Were abouts are you?theres Atkinson vos in Bentham there tp dealers mine came from there!think they are around 14k for a new 1 worth every last penny
  19. Try and go for the tp250 if the buget can stretch to that there's nothing they carnt handle
  20. You won't go wrong with a TP chipper easy to maintain and a good strong chipper and does produce some nice chip
  21. Think I'm just going for the usual pants boots blower fuel can and shopping for a new potential grinder. Anyone getting excited for a big purchase
  22. The new hilux will be tow 3.5 ton that would get my vote but I would get a disco over anything my defender is good but anything with a bit of distance it cripples me
  23. I demoed the forst and got a greenmech arbtrak 150 it was a bit cheaper over all and with the side rollers it seems to snap every thing so a lot less snedding up!just my opinion but realy didn't like the forward backward sensors on the side on the forst
