  1. Hi-Lux is an awesome truck - good offroad and good sloggers. Very light on the back end, but great on the hill. Navaras are **** - they blow up for fun - Majorly expensive parts. Often blow up after 70,000m I know a guy who has just had the crank go through his sump. L200's are better than the Navara but also ****, also blow up for fun - telephone numbers for prices on parts. I have a 2002 L200, I love it unfortunatley but she is so expensive on parts and after 100,000M theyre pretty much knackered. Ford Ranger - The Forestry Commission's favourite motor - great offroad and serious work horses, used throughout the country by the FC rangers. Also used by councils, network rail and utility companies. Mazda - a ford in disguise (or is it the other way round?) Landrover - practical but uncomfortable, expensive and more often than not unreliable electronically. just MHO
  2. any idea where the venue will be Tom??? May be able to find somewhere up here (Aviemore), but might be a bit of travelling for people.

  22. Do any of you guys have to use urea to treat stumps?? It's great as a de icer.... it's got the same stuff in it that they use for de icing airport runways etc. I think it may be the amonia (sp?) that does the business.
  23. Totally agree.
  24. That's encouraging... think it will be for the best in the long run. I had guys coming out to labour a couple of weeks ago that were wanting £120 a day!! And that's with me supplying all the kit and PPE. I don't even earn that myself some days...so it's deffinatley not an option for labouring.
