  1. That all makes sense to me.. I get the whole point of going through a test centre and understand the reasons behind it, but I still cant help but feel like the whole system is set up to make a monopoly. The fact that you can't book an external assessor privately who then puts your tickets through at NPTC means you have to use middle men, which means somebody is making money for nothing. In an ideal world you could do a course and then book an assessor and that would be job done, but as it is, normally you book a course with a training provider who provide the training through trainer and then they book you an assessment with an assessor through an independent test centre... 4 parties involved in one qualification, all taking their cut.. Sorry.... no..... 5 parties if you add NPTC or LANTRA into the equasion...

  5. Watching that video again, I thik the barbers chair occured in the first place because he stopped cutting through... if he had kept cutting i doubt it would have gone at all and I estimate it split to around 21ft!! However, like Steve said.... the lean dosent look that bad, shame we cant see the top in the video, but for all we know it may have had a good lean in the top.

  22. Just wondering, how come you used the landy to pull it over?? I would have wedged it over personally, especially if it had alot of deadwood in the crown, always a favourite for shattering everywhere.
  23. Fair one Kevin! How much does a trainer earn a day?? Seems like most courses are around the £100 per person mark for training
  24. If you want a decent knapsack, that works well and will stand the test of time, with regular usage in a professional capacity you need either a Berthoud, a Solo or a Coupar Pegler - Have used all the cheap ones and they break.. Out of the lot of them I have settled with the Berthoud..... you just won't go wrong with them.
