  1. Yeah the blue car just drives straight donw the middle off the brakes no worries, the 4x4's should have been able to do this with ease! rediculous. But its kinda nice knowing its not just drivers in this country that don't have a clue!
  2. Should be fine i've run a saw bench off as similar size ford tractor worked fine, bloody scary though, much prefer the woodmizers!
  3. and last, the best view in the world from behind the bars :-)
  4. What's so bad about the hydrofells?
  5. By trying to give the customer an accurate volume in a number surely we are just hurting ourselves? half the time they don't know what acubic meter or a 'ton' of logslooks like anyway so its all fantasy for them really. seems far easier to say you get a bag like this full or 'the back of my transit up to the tail gate' for £££. simple. Why do we need to put a number to it, its not accurate half the time anyway.
  6. bloody cold but its not snowing at the minute!
  7. My elton Hydrofells get used everyday weather it be for tree climbing ground work or landscaping, they do it all, with chainsaw protection and hold up just fine, also comfier than any normal boots i've tried and waterproof too!
  8. Got it past Aviva in the end:thumbup1: only £350 a year more than the smiley! ah the joys of being 22:sneaky2:. the truck i'm looking at is a 35C11D i take its thats 3.5 T GVW from wah ti could find the C meanbs its 'heavy duty' and 11 denotes the power output, D=double cab. trouble is its the 2.8 TD and i guess 11 means 110HP that seems a bit low as i have read that the 2.8 can produce 146bhp. I guess thats down to a chip like with the 311 and 313 CDI Sprinters making 110hp and 130hp respectivley from the same engine with a differing ecu, is it the same with these? I've been on google for hours trying to get solid info on these vans and get little useful info. Also does anyone have a unladenw eigh tfigure for the double cab? afte rlooking at woodpickers thread on the weight for his standard cab one I don't think its gonna be nice:thumbdown:
  9. the transit probably dind;t get re registered, i bough tit off a farmer! haha. Good idea though, for now i'm gonna ring them again and call it a 3 seater:001_tt2:
  10. Sounds good. Now i have a right headache my current insurers Aviva who are really good have just said they can't cover a crew cab iveco as it has 7 seats!! they say i need minibus insurance...even though its tipper. Apparently even if i remove the back seats tey can;t do it as it iwll till be registered as a 7 seater or something. grrr. I jus ttold them the transit was 3 seats as i bought it with the back ones already removed and no problems...the girl seemed to ignore this. any ideas? I find it hard to beeleive that they don;t insure any of these vans!
  11. Thats good to hear is that a 5 speed or a 6?
  12. thats 3709 KG!! fair play to it!! would have been coming in near 6 ton gross!! Anyone got a MPG figure for the Iveco then?
  13. Fancy telling me about your Daily then, Why is it for sale?

    bonfires

Lift the pile with the JCB get right in under there and start a good hot fire with some nice dry stuff, (as normal place the start fire appropriatley so the wind blows the flames straight through/into the pile, central rarely works.) leave the pile lifted for a good while for ventilation and it'll be going in no time. when you drop the rest of the pile down wedge some stuff around the starter fire to stop it from getting squashed too much, keep the air moving around it:thumbup1: If you have bikes an old tyre can work wonders too:001_tt2:
  15. I'm looking for a tipper, i currently have a transit and its a joke too slow!!
  16. All the vans I had were panel vans.
  17. sounds good so far, well I've had the following panel vans 311CDI 312D and a Vito 110CDI and all of them have been bloody fast, smooth comfy and reliable. and the Ivecos are suspicously cheap so was just checking Are the 2.8's common rail or old style injection and how is the noise inside the cab when driving etc?
  18. I'm looking for a new tipper atm and have been looking at the usual MK.6 Transits and Sprinters around 02-04 plate around £4k. I took abrief look at the iveco Daily's and even the 2.8 turbo one with a crew cab is available for under £3k with low miles, why are they so cheap? I've owned a few sprinters and have mates with transits and know them inside out and they're good vans but I havn't even been in an Iveco and tbh i see them as a poor mans Sprinter, am i right?
  19. Wasn't much a of a race, they were getting smoked and they crashed, pretty lame. But yeah fun in cars on her majestys race track is best kept till after dark.
