  1. Knowing how those things grow - that's not much in 7 years though the grass is probably slowing it - I'd take off the right hand stem at origin. The left stem will slowly straighten as it develops
  2. Bottle feeding..... pet lambs; aaaaaargh!!! They'll rapidly become pest lambs!
  3. Quads? 😮 Good luck to the wee mites. (Do you see the Scottishness there just to execute a smooth transition between topics on the same thread? 😂)
  4. I hope you're right. On a sentimental level I, as a true born Englishman, don't want to lose Scotland from the union; it's a beautiful country with so much to offer. On a more hardnosed level I struggle to see anyone gaining from independence except for the acquisition of smug grins north of the border
  5. Now you're proper showing off. Keep going!

  7. Loads of trainers do. How about Landskills Training in Dorking, Surrey?

    Shane Warne

Blimey; what a bad day for the Aussies. He was the most incredible spinner; for me he and Murilitharan stand out in a class of their own. 52; that's way too young. RIP mate 😞
  9. I love his vids. Pretty sure he lives in the Allegheny Mountains.

    Awareness of or conscience about?
  11. Wow. That's extraordinary
  12. 😂 I'm sure she'll see it that way. Really 🤥
  13. Stop messing about Steve - tell us what you think! I wonder what Vlad's new best mate Xi Jinping is thinking now... apart from 'I need to be more careful about choosing my friends'!
  14. It does make perfect sense; I'm sure ours - sorry, Hers - will be the same. Cheers
  15. Ah - that may be the case. Not my car and no such thing was mentioned to Her Maj by the dealership. I'll have to follow her one day and we'll find out (when I drive into the back of her with an overloaded Navara and 2-ton trailer 😂)
  16. I'm waiting for someone to pile into the back of the wife's shiny new EV as it rapidly slows with no brake lights showing: KERS is awesome!
  17. I was told yesterday that this is a bad analogy but it works for me. The West has been cosying up to Ukraine for a while: how would the US behave if Russia had been behaving likewise to Mexico? OK 'the enemy' isn't the next country beyond Mexico as is the case with Ukraine but that buffer word returns to mind. Not that I want to appear a Putin apologist or sympathiser (too much!); I've said before that I see him as a grubby little psycopath. He wants go down in history as an empire builder. Little man, big big ego

    Jokes???

Or is the 'I don't get it' in response to a blank post?
  19. Whooper sists with puns like this? If you don't like Stubby's rantings just hit the Mute button Don't worry, I know where my coat is...
  20. Right; the niger feeder's getting hot washed and refillled with new seed! Bullfinches; we used to see a pair about three times a year at the old place in Caterham and we've seen a cock bird twice down here in Sussex. I've never seen more than a matched pair at the same time; fifty birds - what a sight and sound; I envy you the experience I'll come back with a result to my niger endeavours; thanks
  21. You sod! We're looking to re-clad our boarded small house in East Sussex soon (once all the bat surveys and mitigation are arranged 🙄) I thought plans were laid with Cedral or similar. Now you mention this and Copford mill is less than 2 miles away... I may now have to re-think 😂
  22. @Treerover What birds do you get taking niger? I've always left a few out but nothing has ever been interested except siskin and we haven't seen those in way too many years. Even the goldfinches don't touch them but maybe, just maybe, I need to try a fresh batch as we do have goldies here Jon
  23. Or leave it alone. You call that a lean?!
  24. But they managed! It was comical watching the Great and Blue Tits hold on to near horizontal feeders but nothing was going to stop them getting their daily dose of sunflower heart
  25. Nope. Not a parasite at all. It merely uses a tree as a substrate. Mistletoe is a parasite
