  1. I love that video Jim! Reminds me of Cagney and Lacey! The members of the forum would be interested in your last couple of months escapades with the floods and also your article in Eartmovers! Don't be shy!
  2. All I ever do is look through EBay, here and Google!
  3. Fine lunging, I can see the side foot is used due to over tight hamstrings! Good effort for a man of your age
  4. Loads of Unimogs about, trustworthy ones ready for work is a diferent ball game.
  5. I've always taken that quote as not to be wasteful more than not spend money mate. Like you I've always invested in kit as you know but I still can't walk past a light left on in a room
  6. A very simple rule To follow , and your whole team has to as well is Look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves ,
  7. Lie in bed, see how I feel! Decide to make no desicions until had coffee and a big cooked pile of protein fuelled food and brown toast! Then feel guilty for not being at work, usually then go to work .
  8. Some offices will of had their fingers burned with a Unimog crashing and taking out a dozen cars in the middle of a high street, others are rural and the office workers are usually from farming background. Mine is insured commercially.
  9. It's a guessing game with such little information or knowledge about the running of your business.
  10. Sorry to hear of your troubles guys, it must be very hard to bite your tongue when it comes to your kids!
  11. How are we all doing ? Nights are stretching, heading towards Springtime and hopefully budgets getting spent before the new financial year
  12. Just the 1 Mog. I pay £1800 For the Mog, 6 ton dumper, 3 and 7 ton car diggers. The 7 tonner is over £700 as it's more risk when digging. And I've had a claim last year too on the 3 tonner
  13. I love the irony of the 3 wooden benches around the tree on a thread about caring for them! I've seen a lot of trees painted beside roads up here with bright warning colours, they are usually bits of cars lying round the base of them
  14. £350, valued at £28k with NFU I've years of no claims though .
  15. Very cool! 1, how do you rate the corkscrew splitter? I'm thinking on putting 1 on my 3 tonner. 2, what's the story with your orange skid plate up front?
  16. There is a level of risk! You were unsure and filled with doubt! Good call! Even if there was zero risk you have taught your men that they can walk away if they feel unsure! Contracting to tight budgets makes most desicion making coming down to uttering a swear word then saying it! I've cut next to railway wires and sub stations holding my breath! Absolute madness and stupidity on my part.
  17. Have you considered the amount of pressure caused to make the break when comparing re growth?
  18. Your level of understanding due to not having the experience before is being overtaken by suspicion imo. Your saws are rattling around in the back of a cab, maybe it's a plastic liner or maybe you have sat heavier things ontop of the saw. It happens, well actually it has never happened to me but I secure my saws down and don't put heavy things on them Glad you got it fixed
  19. On what? And nothing happens for no reason, there must of been a stress caused somewhere!
