  3. hi again, i hope you dont find myself as a bit of a money and run tree cutter, years of being beaten down by know all customers and bills to pay has made me this way. i used to love complicated time consuming jobs when i worked for a big company, i am getting back to enjoying the job again, no full time staff and no more crazy payments on big kit, certainly helps sleeping at night. i am really enjoying arbtalk, it is very easy to get stuck in your ways but watching guys like yourself using big rigging kit has opened my eyes, i had to laugh when dean commented on taking the wall down and felling your monster beech over the road, thats what i was thinking. terrible i know. next arb show i am going to spend some time at the climbing area and have a look at all the new techniques. take care stevie

  4. like rupe says, clean out the tank first. if you havent been wiping the crap away before refilling it will have built up, secondly i would take the filter off the tube inside and give it a blow. you will need a hooky bit of wire and a wee pair of mole grips as its pretty footery, be prepared to make an ass of this and go mad:scared1:i take it you have cleaned the bar!! dont know much about ryobi, but if has served you well up to now, thats fine but personally i would start saving some pennies and go and see your local saw dealer. if you then post a thread asking which is better. stihl or husky then i will never talk to you again:001_tongue:(you will soon realise why)
  5. it was the only damage for miles around, we thinks it might of been a twister, sounds a bit far fetched. but i had a stack of loose ton bags 50 feet away that never budged, 3 other trees 500 yards away got blown in the opposite direction to the beeches. and my mates bin from the front of his house was lying round the back, and it would pretty much need picked up and put there. it happened just before i bumped this thread on sat night, after i posted the wind dropped away. its one for mulder and scully me thinks:confused1:

i know of at least 3 guys who bought fake saws, idiots, they are either gardeners or builders. 350cash for a crap we saw with an 18inch bar, that weighs a ton. i told them they could get the real thing for less with a receipt and warranty. some folk just like the thought of a little risk and a bargain. some story about an italian rep over here doing a show, and he didnt have to take them back, they were his little perk of the job!!
  7. nothing on the storm front, i havent seen any other damage apart from our own at the yard
