  1. I tried to answer your survey unfortunately I can only describe the questions as vaguely specific in the wrong way with a limited poor choice of answers.
  2. Fantastic!
  3. Thanks, the Knight guards my house
  4. I've just bought this.
  5. you have to fail to learn! Many of us started our business before the days of asking online, you just had to take a deep breath and go for it. Have I made mistakes, of course I have, have I hurt myself, yes! Have I made money, run a successful business since 1999 , yes!
  6. Pretty much all my successful friends who run their own businesses have done just that.
  7. How do you know if the OP takes my advice this will happen?
  8. Could you please explain why my advice is bad?
  9. Pleas do go on, and show me all your evidence of inspection intervals you have had for all of the above in your years of business! Do you know that all of this is covered with a heading of Don't be Stupid. If you want to carry your fuel in Tesco bag in your front seat of the van, you can! No 1 will stop you ! Go on try it! You just get a flammable wet floor and as long as it doesn't ignite, no drama! I won't go on.
  10. If you are fit, intelligent and with money behind you, then buy van, small chipper, some saws and make up a tree company name, stick it on the side, get some insurance and give it a go. We are not regulated as a trade, you don't need tickets for insurance, learn as you go, build up to bigger stuff and bobs your uncle. Once you realise how simple this job is Conny bashing in back gardens then do some climbing tickets for peace of mind and work hard. Good luck!
  11. They are no use for dangling, they hurt your dangles! I miss my old seat harness.
  12. Poor guy! Vertical speed line is my choice for dead elms if I have too with no pendulum swings. More often than not it's tell the customer the lawns going to be bumpy!
  13. It will be good, expensive though.
  14. Those guys are at the top of the game, the rigging is fantastic!
  15. Looks like a little angel ! I have a Border that's the same. We call her Killer Kumba
  16. Cool Beagle!
  17. Sign writing and work the weekends, then buy a Mog. Job done!
  18. Yes Tom.
  19. Also consider your body! Milling is brutal ! Sore back, sore hands ( winch will make it better I'm sure) You are going to break stuff for sure. Last milling job I did with the 2 ,088's I used 3 cans of Aspen for 8 cuts on a hard as hell big Butan Pine. I'd add £100 onto you normal tree cutting rate .
