  1. i bet they drove you nuts going so slow aswell lol
  2. SPIKEY FENCE!!well dome mate, those big mature ashes can be tricky, never a nice straight anchor in the middle, always getting pulled to the side. nice truck and hiab too.
  3. did you get the meaty bit below the thumb aswell mate, no pickled onion monster munch for you. nasty
  4. maybe i will peter, maybe i will. but it is a one trick pony. an awseome pony though. i really want a mini loader. it would compliment the big chipper and make life so much easier. we hand balled at least 2 tonne of dead elm today and i bet i have another 20 tonne of sycamore to do aswell. i think the demo shall be arranged for next week for sure.
  5. more hoops to jump through for the blame game is it buzz?
  6. i hope they have some screens on their air filters there mat
  7. i have heard of folk saying hiezos are slower, but i think they give that impression but although the infeed seems slow the output is pretty impressive. that is a lot of wood they are putting in
  8. a an old guy told me thats what they did when they went rock climbing back in the good old days, man we have it easy!
  9. anything around 1500 quid isnt going to look awesome and the fact that you are cutting it down in the back doesnt exactly put you up the profesional looking ladder. you will fit diddly squat in an l200 even with greedy boards. nothing wrong with ldv or transit tippers.
  10. thats the fella marc, i noticed the chip was splintery, the winch is great but i havent had it on a job yet to give it a run
  11. i wish i could remember how to make a climbing line and prussik combo all out the one piece of rope, my mate shower me once, it was amazing. its how he learnt to climb
  12. marc the tractor set up is good for the 4x4 around sites. if i could i would of put the chipper on the trailer sideways for site work, then i could put it on the tractors linkage for tighter jobs.
  13. been there done that arc, in your head the valmet crane chipper combo is amazing, but the reality is a ball buster, you will need 100k easy even before you get a good trailer made up. the roofmount i had was amazing, it was designed for hte job you want, but i didnt want a hiezo because of the feed angle, the crap you put through a chipper with a crane is the killer, a drum can take it, but hte disc ones dont like it. getting to jobs are slow as hell. i have just picked up a bandit 250 tow behind, and the chipping power is amazing. i think you are the guy with the massive rig anyway. i would shuttle the brash to the chipper on a site. the one machine, one worker is ok until you get a break down, and with all those hoses you will get them. there is no room in the tractor to carry tools or saws, and if you need to nip away to get stuff you cant, unless you have an astra van in the trailer aswell,
  14. got ya john, my suspicious mind jumped right in there lol if i forget anything it is usually my hat.
  15. how did he forget his climbing line??either he was climbing a pole full of nugs, or he was spiking?and i thought you were dead wooding oaks, naughty naughty. or is there something i am missing:lol:
  16. what is is?a quad or a tractor or a bit of both?is that trailer or is it an artic?
  17. his spelling is usually spot on! everyone must think we are all drunk on this site ha ha
  18. landline is in a room we dont really use and cant hear it and the mobile has been on silent for years, if they leave a message, i then decide on its urgency and phone them back accordingly. i do loads of work by text now tbh, quick and easy, saves any long winded niceties, straight to the point and doesnt interfere with family life
  19. they won hands down on turning circle, but i wonder how they would do on lifting and shoving. the avant has a telescopic loader aswell
  20. some more info on loaders [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=neF6cCqpBXU]YouTube - Norcar vs Avant[/ame]
  21. whats this lowering thing you talk of tom. ha ha
