  3. i would leave the bottom big bit and get lairdy to get one of the carrbridge carvers to make him an eagle. i wouldnt bother chipping it, zip line it all into a huge pile, and fell the stems onto the brash. i bet the tight old laird will have a heart attack if you mentioned 200 quid lol i

  13. is the road going to be shut off?is that a manhole cover or septic tank cover beside the tree?it depends on how you are going to take it down matt, and what the finish job is to look like. option 1. close rd and crash bang heavy onto brash and walk away. 500quid option 2. safely lower and dismantle tree, not leaving a mark and lovely stacked branches and slices 2k.
  14. it will chip up to 4", and it does, like all gravity fed chippers its all in the operator. It was great talking to a dealer, salesman that is an experienced tree surgeon and business owner, i love it when guys just let the machine and the price do the talking. i was VERY surprised at the book value of this machine after getting a demo, hence why i bought it. if you are interested you should pm peteb, he will sort you out:001_cool:

  18. nothing wrong with saying no mate, from an early age we are told not to say no, and just do it. but that is when you are a kid, that is part of the contract you have with your parents. but dealing with customers or other folk is a whole different contract, this is where i slipped up in life, i did what i was told and never answered back, a model child but a push over for others, which leads to anger and resentment, that is why contracts should be drawn up for different occasions. Have you ever spoke to your wife the way you would speak to a useless worker??i used to, but that is wrong. Marriage is a sacred contract between 2 people, look at them properly. it doesnt say 'i shall bite my wifes head off for asking me if i had a good day today' or ' if myy tea is ready when i come through the door she doesnt love me so i will go in the huff'
  19. life mate, positive mental thinking. good thoughts make you feel good, bad thoughts eat you up and drain you of energy. arbtalk medicine every time mate:thumbup1:
  20. write down all the stuff you want to do mate, then write down the reasons why you cant do it. make it into an equation. or write down the stuff you dont want to do but still do . the answers are usually a load of rubbish. if you want a lamborgini that costs 250k that is different, but if it something simple like not starting till 10am and finishing at 3pm, then there is no reason why you shouldnt be able to do it. deligate, train staff up or just say NO! i dont want to do it.
  21. i went round our local trim track, 15 different work station over 1km and joined my gym. feeling better already:thumbup:
