  1. your grapple, forks, road kit, back linkage and log splitter and toe bar. if we could have driven it to the job today with a small trailer on it for the sawdust and crap then it would of saved us 2 trips with the jeep and a lot of manouvering, most of my work is in my town, so 1 mile max... the pictures dont do the loaders manouverability justice, we spinned about the monoblock for 4 hrs and not a mark from the tyres was left. taking it on and off the trailer is a doddle, not like skid steers
  2. i am after the sequoia i think. it looks cool but the big seller for me is the back support. my big girly bosuns chair has served me well for 8 years now, it owes me nothing. any idea on cost:001_cool:
  3. yours , i mean my:001_tt2: new wee chipper comes tomorrow andy i havent bought the loader, i have hired it for a week to see how it does in different applications, the spec i want puts a good 4k on it, but after today the price doesnt seem so crazy now. the yard is like a bomb site as everything was thrown in today to get back on site, but an hour tomorrow in the loader will have it ship shape:thumbup:
  4. it was me you drunken bum lol:001_tongue:
  5. mr edd will fill you in mate:thumbup: the grapple is great, once we tied up the pipes. a rotator would make a HUGE difference. or if it could be locked into position at least. but someone with a welder and some bits of metal will soon sort that out
  6. we certainly did huck, i priced it with both eyes shut. 400 quid:crying:but the nieghbour wanted his big cony removed and then the customer wanted more stuff done, she thought i was very cheap at my price. she wasnt far wrong:001_unsure:
  7. the driveway was pretty tight, so swinging into it was a bit tricky for feeding, and because we were chipping into a trailer the wood was splattering everywhere, so we brashed them and seperated the larger bases of the trunks. but we nailed it a few times and it was great. even pulling over the trees into the garden saved so much hassle, we usually have to brash into the nieghbours then hand ball it over.
  8. there was some squashed grass, but a quick blow sorted it out. i always thought i could never do this in someones garden, but i explained what we were doing and i was demo ing this machine so to keep costs down yet speed up operation. if it was going to make a mess then i wouldnt of drove on the lawn. i really shot myself in the foot with this job, as i hadnt seen how wide it was over the nieghbours side, but the loader still made it profitable. if i had my new truck we would of completed that job in 2 hrs, it took us under 4, and that was including stacking brash then hand feeding plus 4 trips to the yard. and it was the first time with the kit set up this way.
  9. well the usual conifer hedge from hell today, but this time it was a lot easier. i dont have my truck yet so we used an ifor with high sides instead. it took 4 trailer loads of chip, that the big bandit filled in about 10 minutes per trailer load. the mini loader was awesome, we have had approx 2 feet of rain in august and there wasnt a mark on the lawn, and it is a nice one.:cool1:the last 2 pics are of a conifer in the neighbours garden, the wall was about 3 feet high. 100 quid cony as an extra, fell lift chip. sweet as:wink:
  10. keep at it mick, take a pic of it from the computer so you have it at work, wait till you get a ropeguide mate, zoom zoom zoom lol
  11. i know my mate put 3 ohase into his shop and it cost a fortune, but i think it was because they had to dig up the street..
  12. what about a 3 phase generator, they pur away lovely, and you could stick it outside the building:cool1:
  13. rope guide is cool alright buzz, like mick i was looking forward to climbing again.
  14. all depends on how it has to be left, if it is a crash bang a i bet you could get it on its backside in 2 hrs dave, it is still green so a high anchor is easy enough, the garden side will go in big chunks. but it all depends on how the deal is done, i feel matt wants to leave a good impression to hopefully get some more work, personally i would be promoting the cheapest deal for the laird, who will have a couple of guys and a tractor and loader somewhere. so i reckon 500 quid and a day would do it easily..
  15. i think you have it slightly wrong there mick, the 2 knots should be either side of the hc in the bottom hole straight onto your harness then the other end clipped onto either the middle or top hole mate. take a look throught the vt threads mate
  16. its not any diferent from someone subbing in climber. i know guys that run companies that no nothing of the trade, thats why they employ folk. i was told by a very wealthy man once, that the secret to making money is to pay someone far more inteligent and skilled less money than you earn yourself. just my 2p:cool1:
  17. not a fan of them either, but i used to enjoy watching the 1 in the mog catching flies
  18. i was thinking about this the other day, except for a splitter. no noise or fumes. i remember when the smaller electric cement mixers became more popular, it was great.
  19. i havent ever thinned, but i did 1 week of brashing. it was good money, 10p a tree and that was 14 years ago, but i got all the outsiders:thumbdown:
  20. i am with you on that matty, i get fed up on jobs, i like to see a finish line. but i do love dragging bits of wood and felling.
  21. at least you will get plenty of jam this time of year david
  22. it reaches about 22feet and will lift a big bag of firewood at full stretch on the dipper.
  23. i have a back pack stihll one, i have had it for about 6 years, it gets used once or twice a year to strim round the yard. it has never given me any probs and always starts after a couple of pulls. it has the auto feed head on it. i will sell it if you are looking to buy a second hand one if you like.
  24. i forgot about the sparks lol,
  25. i would recommend for the next show that members stick a picture of themselves up in their avatar, i was talking to loads of folk that new my face but i didnt know theirs. And i hate having to go' who are you?' it seems rude. oh and i was talking to a guy for ages who i thought was qtip, he was the big guy with the beard and cap, i am sure his name was andy mason.
