  5. there is a lot of knowledge flying around this thread, i would love to learn more about it, but i need to do hands on before i can take it in to get the reasoning behind it. Tommer do you fancy building my balcony, i would love a green oak one, but i know i will end up with a metal frame cls special. i can soon find some oak and i know a man with a mill.

  8. what are the sizes mate?its a shame my old man is on holiday, he is good at his kind of thing, he has routers and woodturning gadgets, ha even has something for making grooves for window sills in his workshop. a joiner would be your best bet if no one on here can do it
  9. it will be a nightmare trying to put a groove on a stick mate, well it would be for me because i am hopeless with that kind of stuff. do you have some nice thick bits of hazel?cold you split them completely then glue it back together and sandwich it together, i know a carpenter will read this post and shout NO NO NO!!but its justa thought

  13. i did this just a few weeks ago, it wouldnt go into the stop position, i had to choke it all day and was a pest. i took it apart, holy moly. it was just the earth wire, i could see that but i was too far in, so i decided to take it all apart. after a few minutes i shook my head and put it in a box and dropped it off at the local repair man. went back the next day and the 2 mechanics were stumped since they never saw it come apart. luckily i was working with a guy who loves tinkering with saws. he took it home and fixed it, but he forgot the bar, so i finally got it back yesterday. what a palava.

  17. this is steves work place mozza, thats what made sense to me. if my lads swear they get told off, because it is the boss that looks bad and gets the effect of the problem. so it effect business.
