  1. good stuff, i wish i could think of a cow related double intendre:lol:
  2. if you know your stuff then anything is viable, i am useless at mechanics and that was my downfall with kit, having to wait for a mechanic or fitter and sometimes a simple 5 quid belt or hose would leave me stuck for a day or 2. if you could use it on other jobs and buying in doesnt cripple you then go for it
  3. good luck with your project, i thought of doing this but the sums didnt add up for me, you will need to invest about 100k and that 55 quid an hour soon gets lost, i get 50 quid an hour with my loppers and tiny 4 inch greenmech chipper working under a mile from home in folks gardens. not as cool i know but a lot easier and better for the pocket. i think the market for it has crashed myself, with site clearances dried up and firewood so valuable most folk arent chipping big or mulching, and the woodfuel chipping isnt easy with a smaller unit. good luck anyway
  4. i came across an article that made me a bit suspicious.it read ' tall x squaddie seeks yorkshire based gent for naked mewp wrestling, discretion guaranteed and can accomodate'
  5. i know what they look like and i have my priorities just right thank you mate:sneaky2:
  6. changed the blades round last night, they werent bad considering they have done tons of chip and i have had the machine close to 2 months i think, pic is rubbish as it was getting dark and just with the phone:001_smile:
  7. my plywood contraption was terrible, it was a killer to shift and looked rubbish.
  8. they are quite expensive aswell arent they. i hired a predator grinder and made up boards with 2 8x4 inch thick bits of ply and hinged them together. absolute nightmare and well heavy. those lightweight mesh ones look great. or that one used to anyway.
  9. i was considering getting a mewp in for doing some horible skinny trees growing at an even more horrible angle behind a house on a slope, but after seeing this then no chance, i like the look of these types of mewps as they look very stable but i never considerd strength of the area where i would palce it, it is a small parking area but it is definately home made with some spare tar from when the fllats have been built 30 years ago, and there is a drain too, so who know how shallow the pipes are. thanks for raising that point dean. monkey monkey time it is then lol
  10. good job deano, i hope my phonecall gave you the correct input on the day:biggrin:
  11. married nearly 3 been together 8. i love the lingerie idea.mmmmmmmmmmmmm..naughty wear i call it lol
  12. unlucky, i bet you kicked yourself after doing that
  13. as good as ever reg, i love the way you tie it off twice, i hate it when the device would drop down and be a pain to start off until tension was on it, i havent done much from the ground as i was usually up the tree, but i would see the boys struggling on the deck. if you have time could you make a video of attaching it onto the tree, i an intersted the way you have them tied off, i usually just use slings which isnt awesome and it is a hit or a miss depending on the girth of the tree and sling size. would really appreciate it.
  14. i dont have any tattoos and i dont see me ever getting one, i think some guys suit them and others dont, but mikes 066 is seriously cool, but unless you are 6 foot 4 and built like Arnie then it would just look daft i think. good on you sanny, each to their own. if you like it then thats all that matters mate.
  15. i like that indeed mate. looks very professional.
  16. dont know and cant be bothered going out to look. lol. still has the same chain on it since the AA so i havent needed to know yet lol
  17. huck only has a few years to go before the big 65, so we can use him as a guinea pig:lol:
  18. honky chin straps are not cool, horrible start to the day when you feel sick just sticking on your hat. where do i start with the thankyous??to many to thank individually so cheers everyone:thumbup:
  19. that is excellent john, and on a pollard too. i take it he bluetooth comes into its own on jobs like that for the final smaller touches. i bet you are glad you bought them now
  20. wow, what a difference, nice job
  21. sad indeed, i would of thought you wouldnt of been able to move one of those unless it was back in transport position, i thought it would of been full of sensors preventing it from moving. what a waste, i see painters everywhere in these things these days, over parked cars and pedestrian walkways, a couple of cones and away they go, no harnesses or safet hats. not cool
