  1. I've not done an oak before and this is certainly the biggest tree, it all depends on location and customer and what kit I can get to it. If it does grow well we may need to brace it, I'm hoping the roots that were within the soil will jump into life once I soil around it and help it and maybe some anchor roots will happen if it does get bushy! but I don't know how that works, maybe some could tell me. I was thinking on doing some coronet cuts, it would of been easier on the ground but I didn't want to jinks the lift:001_rolleyes:
  2. Fingers crossed she comes away!
  3. I have an internal and external flood light on the Luton. There was a small light on a switch so they were wired into that. You just need to run a live to it with a switch I think.
  4. Welcome, I'm thinking on getting a Mill so would be interested in the replies!
  5. Brilliant! The lady with the camera sticking her hand round by the belt was making me twitchy though:001_huh:
  6. Fantastic! Do they float?
  7. I see a branch on the asbestos roof of that shed! -1 point:biggrin: Sam, +2 points for correct answer:thumbup:
  8. Eliminate the problem before it gets to face to face dealings. A big sign on the front door, saying all saws serial numbers will be ran through the police stolen system, any saws that are stolen will be handed into the police. That will re assure good folk that you are sound and it will tell the baddies to go elsewhere.
  9. Now you have supplied logs in an expensive way for no reason . I blame the coal merchant:sneaky2:
  10. And your trousers are down why:confused1: Good effort:thumbup1:
  11. Is that a wing suit? I take it you are not doing a tandem charity jump? Tell us more:thumbup1:
  12. I use a Luton van with a tail lift and wheely bins for chip, logs and sawdust. I can fit all my kit up top above the cab, pole saw and ladders on the sides, chipper and 8 wheely bins in the back if need be. 12 if the chipper isn't in. Or I blast into dumpy bags, I can get 3 full ones in, chipper and logs on top aswell. Also I have a tracked wheel barrow for heavy logs and I can drive it on, lift it up, drive it in and unload. I also can put the chipper in the barrow with the wheels off and this gives me a tracked chipper. And it involves lifting nothing heavy:thumbup:
  13. Cracking story Arthur, I bet that Night influenced your life massively!
  14. Cheers that was excellent! It still doesn't answer my ladder up round a big over hang, how does he get up past onto the ledge to tie the ladder on? I'll keep looking tonight
  15. A truly awesome guy! I missed a talk with him at the local vintage tractor club when I was 20, the old farmer that my boss had a yard at said ' didn't think you'd know who he was ' I was gutted. Mi watched the ladder video last night, wow what a job! And as for laddering up around a ledge, how he would do that I don't know, I look for a video tonight on that !
  16. The price is ticking the box and looks like a simple solution to your problem but looks very light. It would be quite good for landscaping soil.
  17. How are the soles on them ? I don't want a rigid sole.
