  5. yeah, ruddy 1am, 3am and 5am
  6. Would make sense as trees are bioacumulators i.e. birch pioneers on heavy metal spoil sites and literally cleans up soil...
  7. CS-400 / 450 / 500 thru 620 are excellent; the old 670 isn't... In conclusion, no matter how good or even superior a machine is to the accepted norm, that fact won't sell it. Just like the landcruiser thread... You think WD40 and GT85 are the 2 top dogs until you try Deb Service spray; but Winston Churchill said: "Men occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of them pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing ever happened" They just can't take it in
  8. That should be a thread title
  9. As above tho, the price on a new kesla (and afm) stroke heads is absolutely eye watering; no cheaper than roller and that is major imo..
  10. Plastic cover on the 600 et al have alloy insert where the nuts tighten and spread the load; absolutely no issues with the plastic after 3+ years now and thousands of tons of production cutting; no HUSQ 560 has done that without 50 clutch springs, 4 new exhausts, etc etc BTW, contacted my Dolly dealer today - 6100's in stock - price tba... :-)
  11. Quite; the UK is 30 years behind!
  12. My day has been ruined now by the other thread that led me to the ethanol thing New 60cc saws on the market; damn them!!! Now, what can I sell?!!!!
  13. down right hand side of linked page... DOLMAR - Latest News
  14. Dolmar / Makita to launch PS-6100 with 2 year warranty and no autotune to mess up! DOLMAR - PS-6100 http://www.arboristsite.com/chainsaw/208633.htm Strato saw that can be neutered... Echo releases CS-620 as per Press Releases | ECHO USA Non-strato; VERY suitable for engine and exhaust mods
  15. +1; as per the photos. V's sing, straights growl, both lovely sound
  16. FISA have definately got on it as a stealth tax as it were; don't get me started on those crooks..
  17. You wanna use Joe Scott, £350 ish no vat, pm me for more details...
  18. The Budgerigar Society - Welcome to the wonderful world of Budgerigars Absolute highlight of my year; long way but always worth it.
  19. Dayment and Skelton; Stan is brilliant but they lost interest in maintenance work:confused1:
  20. 2 x 391 on a double ended bar maybe! 391 is a poor saw and woefully lacking the cc's to pull those inches.
  21. Slaughter  I don't think so! that yank tank would get stuck in the first inch of smooth mud!
  22. I totally agree; didn't phrase my post very well did I ! The international engine in the forwarder gets worked very hard (and is very well maintained btw - it's so easy to infact ) and frankly I love its dogged guts and attitude; nice under square configuration of course. It sounds very sweet coming up a good climb and fully laden. The JD engine just doesn't make me smile the same way
  23. That's the new price! Blinkin hell, the new kesla16/18 was only 45k! We were quoted circa £30k for a new keto 51 or £15k for a recon 51. I was meaning a 100 that's done a fair bit of work but is tight and still half blue! Needs computer and measuring module tho... ??...
  24. Oh man Elf! You went and done it! Is the front end 578 or 678? I'm guessing 6..? I saw a gorgeous Valmet 820 yesterday - I WANT! I've been offered an ok condition keto 100 head which would suit a track base; what do you reckon it's worth tho?
