  1. Nice idea but there's no way I'm taking a tractor around with me just to wash a machine! I wouldn't call a tractor "portable power" when you can chuck something in the back of the pickup.
  2. Burns hot and clean. Love it
  3. I'm looking for a plain cold water pressure washer (not steam cleaner) with own engine and suction option with pre-filter for sucking water from 40 gal drum etc. To be used for washing off harvester and forwarder between jobs. Any recommendations? Many thanks.
  4. I'm meaning to catch up with the Clegg vs Farage from last night
  5. You aswell?!
  6. Same co as: pittpoint on eBay
  7. There's more in s.devon than there is in Monterey.
  8. Don't give up. Send in the debt collectors... They are in deep doo-doo tho with debts to suppliers...
  9. And you'd be mad to. Ash (processor size) is £40/t roadside here (plymouth).
  10. This thread is weird. How on earth can eucy be hard?! It's soft as chit round here.
  11. Box is officially the hardest native timber.
  12. They never had a monarchy. ' the hell as the crown got to do with it? That's just BS.
  13. Estate management is so because of the politics on estates. Very true; makes for less stress I find. Out in the middle of nowhere, truck unlocked.... Woods work is harder on man and machine. Saying that, sitting in the cab of the harvester or forwarder is less taxing than feeding a chipper.
  14. beat me to it Excellent point. Bro! "by close of play" It's work, not play you tw*t. "take ownership" "high quality" It's either quality or not. "heating, plumbing, refridgeration... engineers". You're not engineers! "bish bash bosh" "wicked!" "sort of thing" ending sentences with "or?" Kirsty Allsopp - everything she does is "absolutely the most amazing thing I have ever done - wow". Now she's a bellend. Great thread PS: Cordwood.
  15. hahaha:thumbup: I think war is looming; sabre rattling atleast Maybe it's regional. We got bollocked for calling it the C word.
  16. I don't have a problem with " a cord of wood" as a system of measurement. But roundwood being called cordwood because it's long and skinny...
  17. Stakes Posts Bar Rails (old term) Chip / Pulp / Firewood Palllet wood Log (sawlog / mini-log) all roundwood... now discuss shortwood
  18. https://www.google.co.uk/#q=roundwood+timber+haulage can't find any cordwood hauliers
  19. I think lubricating oils should be one base or the other; mineral or full synth. Mixing the two is to my mind marketing crap, not technical advantage as the two types have differing properties. 70% mineral to 30% synth (group 3&4 basestock 99% of the time too), why bother? I think all my pet hates are coming out on arbtalk tonight lol Sorry in answer to your question; thermal stability and less polymeric thickeners with acidify are the advantage of synths for starters. It's obvious what I use (below); stubby does too I think.
  20. That thread was funny Pet hate of mine. As you can all see
