  1. Blimey; having to hold it in reverse on the trans when pointing downhill then; same here as the handbrake is disconnected - looks an easy fix tho. Not sure I can be bothered as the Bruunett is rapidly becoming unviable economically as it's a thinnings machine and simply can't get the wood out fast enough. Will keep the 578 tho - perfect for small volume jobs. PM me your address; got the manual to post to you
  2. For info. http://www.williamdartmouth.com/docs/Out_Of_The_EU_and_into_the_world.pdf More than just about money / economics though. Current administrations only seem to care about the state of the economy. Economically (if) prosperous but morally and spirituallly bankrupt.... hmmm
  3. Mate just bought the exact same winch and loves it. Reckon they're shifting a fair few of those Uniforests out the factory. Good on em, good kit and good £.
  4. Dunno what kit you're thinking about but Komatsu Forest were helpful.
  5. Maybe yours was an ex-commission one as well?!! Everything in mine is disconnected except the foot brake. Diffs, handbrake, a/c / heater. PITA really, went skiing in mine today for about 40 yards before the slope levelled out.
  6. What tonner is she?
  7. Yep, same here. It stinks.
  8. Winter starts on 70's tractor - tiny squirt of Bradex =
  9. Underpowered so not worth the £££s.
  10. If you had felled it in a oner would it have touched the other side?
  11. When it's 45 roadside in devon... Kent ???!!!
  12. Or are they too new for any feedback? They tick the class 2 box (now mandatory for FC here). Price good too. If I'm the first to get, will review here. Thanks.
  13. Absolutely spot on.
  14. 1) The Trees of Britain & Northern Europe. John Wilkinson & Alan Mitchell. 2) Forest Mensuration: A handbook for practitioners. Forestry Commission.
  15. Aint that a lie. Very dangerous slippery slope believing that.
  16. You see; S & H aren't the only brands in the world +1 for Echo. Both Echo & Kawasaki engines are sweeeeeeet Two forgotten brands, the first long gone were Blitz and Lawnflite; both had kawasaki engines. They bring back memories of the good old days. Had Echo trimmers since the 80's, all still in fine condition.
  17. Hot tub, heated pool, sauna... just add ladies
  18. Don't need to be an EU member to maintain business with other european countries; that's clegg talk.
  19. Can't find any other thread on here discssing this emotive topic so thought I'd start this one! Just watched: BBC iPlayer - The European Union: In or Out? Wondering what the wood world thinks.
  20. 1/2 that would be more about right imo.
