  1. That is a very well written and thought out post Adam. It will give people a good insight in to both sides of the job. I personally would not change being self employed I find it hard graft but can say I enjoy what I do.

    Passport

    I have flown to Northern Ireland without a passport, I think you would need a passport for Southern Ireland as it is not part of the UK. I may be wrong though it has been known.
  3. Yes we had a bees nest 30ft up a dead ash tree not nice for the climber
  4. That's a very nice well made bench. I wish I could do things like that.
  5. Nice job I think that you have done the best you can to keep a magnificent tree alive. Great video gives a sense of how high you really are when the branches fall to the ground.
  6. They do have good cameras the Wife has the S4 Phone and tends not to use a normal camera any more.

    working in the rain

    I enjoy my job and want it to stay that way, so will not go out in the heavy rain no point in working for myself and being proper miserable all day. We will make sure all the kit is clean and sharp on wet days. If we have started a job and it rains we get wet and finish it.

  11. That really is a great view Paul must be good waking up to that every morning. I also have the new Husky fuel can I find it very good but time will tell as it is only 2 weeks old.

  14. Nice work as normal Rich love the tunes. That was some big lumps at the end had the tree rocking well. Great camera work very different shots great video.
  15. Not seen this thread before I have enjoyed watching the videos and some great soundtracks. You have a great variety of work and it is good that you have the time to do all these jobs and keep these old trees alive or create habitat for the wildlife. Thanks for posting I will keep an eye open for the new videos.

  18. We love the CSI series, Walking Dead, Game of Thrones and Musketeers and Alantis all good watches at the moment
  19. We use wire wool and something called Slate Oil got it from a fireplace shop. I am sure wd40 would work
  20. Some from todays Willow removal 60% of the tree was in next doors garden due to a very curved trunk. We used a basic Zip line to send it back in to my customers garden due to no access to next doors garden and an 8ft hedge to throw it back over.

  22. Nice video Adam very, efficient set up. I will need to do something similar on a willow next week to get the overhanging stuff back in to my customers garden from next door.
  23. That is pure genius, must feel very odd with bounce on your main line. Cool video and a good sound track. I bet it took you a bit longer to clear up than set up and do the tree.
