Mine are the Bypass loppers 1 at 800mm and 1 at 600mm use them a,lot in hedges and pruning.

Nice one Steve that looked a good size tree. The crane made very short work of it I bet the ground crew where very busy.

It is like a lot of questions in tree work you need to be there and see it for your self before committing to an answer. You could be asking about a dead stem or branch or the main trunk. Most of us will tie in to dead wood but it is experience that tells you what you can and cant get away with. If unsure don't tie in to it find another way.

They get to about 25 - 30 feet in the hedgerows down here, then die off. It is such a shame and I hope that the Ash trees do not end up the same. -
I had one very nice saw but too heavy so traded it in, only problem with them is parts nowadays.

How long did it take for your advertising to kick in?

I have done leaflet drops in the past and it works not vast amounts but 5% ish. My main advert is in the local info magazine comes out once a month about £35 per month not too bad results. The bulk of my work is from word of mouth repeat jobs and website. Just stick with it the better known you get the more work you will get over time. -
We have the new husky helmets I find them better than the old ones Also the new Husky / Petzl climbing helmet is very good same visor as ground helmet.
