  1. Strange that you said that, that the first thing everybody has said to me when they have seen it. I didn't want such a big tractor, but it has only done 1900 hours, and compared with everything else i looked at, it was a good deal.
  2. I think i am going to need a bigger timber trailer, this one looks a bit small behind my new tractor.
  3. Those are all valid points @doobin i have been sending back to Pekka when I have been modifying broken bits. Sometimes it does feel like it was made using shed technology, but once you have a couple of hundred hours it does get better, as you learn to work with in its limitations. A similar machine from Alstor or Kinetic is double the price. The main thing to remember is when it breaks Pekka always has spares, and compared to all my other machinery, it is ridiculous cheap to fix.

  5. When the arms On mine stopped working there was no orange light (under the red blob). I have no understanding of electronics, hence why i called in a mechanic. Have you checked the fuses under the steering wheel?
  6. It needed a new electric wire to complete the circuit . I am not sure what went wrong, as I went off to finish a tree survey, and left the mechanic to it. Post a picture with the ignition on of the 3 knobs near the back window .
  7. Have you got the little orange light next to the P symbol on the RH knob closest to the back window. Mine linkage stopped working when that light was off. It took ages to work that one out, a lot of head scratching from the mechanic.

  10. At the risk of stating the bleedin obvious, why not use your nice forwarder to move the timber to where you want before you cut it up?

  13. I had a similar issue, which turned out to be the oil pressure sensor. If the oil level was at anything less than at the top mark, it would cut out. The other thing to check is the in line fuel filter, that is on the outside of the engine, often overlooked.

  15. So far what has put me off: Price Weight, when pulling whole trees around weight at the end of the boom is important, or shearing trees, my lift capacity will drop to almost zero. They are not designed for pulling whole trees about.

  17. The Nordforest one, once its bedded in will not slip. I've not tried the Clark one, so i can't comment , but i think that they are similar in design .

  19. Have you come across Calum Duffy, he has loads of different jacks, it would be worth chatting to him. And no doubt @Spruce Pirate has had a little experience with them.

  22. What you are paying for is a certified jack designed specifically for tree felling. If it goes wrong you will still be covered by your insurance. The only tree i haven't jacked over the wood of the tree failed not the jack.
  23. I have a gravity feed system , that runs two radiators, one upstairs . I didn't install it, but it has two 28mm pipes out the back of the stove, and 28mm all the way to the header tank in the loft. The return reduces to 19mm about two thirds of the way to the top. Both radiators T off these pipes. I am not sure if this makes sense as i don't know what I am talking about . Some terrible pictures below.
