  1. if you can get it to self tend.....then all you have to do is climb hand over hand and move your feet(think bat man climbing the side of a building) if u cant then climb hand over hand for a bit then pull the slack through the system by pulling on the tail end of the rope. can always make things easier by connecting it to your system with a sling and using a pantin to help pulling the rope through.....useful on longer assents

  4. dont need chainsaw boots for 38 but for 39 you do. has to be type c trews for the 39 aswell. ive never had hiflex(stretch airs) but some of the boys use them and dont grumble.....think its a personal choice-find somewhere and try em both on.

  8. uses a long lanyard/short rope.keep it in a bag and just take out the length you need.....just keeps it tidy

  10. i use a Schwabisch prussik now, found the vt to be a bit too tempremental. have to slack tender but once the weight of the rope increases it will self tend. get on it,you wont look back:thumbup1:
  11. used it for a few weeks.found it quite slippy but it was brand new so that was expected. found it quite harsh on your hands too. used it with hitch climber/vt
  12. apparently a bearing collapsed after 80hrs work. caused the hammers to make contact and shear off. there was a highways crew working not 30 yrds away from where the hammers got fired too......absoloutly shat themselves as i would of:mad1:

  14. im not sure what they put through there to be honest with you. am going to find out tho. wouldnt suprise me if they put through sommat they shouldnt have
  15. heard something shocking today. one of our gardini shredders self destructed last week when i was off.apparently from what i could gather.some of the hammers came off and shot through the casing. through the top,out of the bottom and of course out of the shoot. quite likely the machine is a write-off,wouldn't be so bad but its less than 9 mnths old:scared1: anybody had sommat similar?
  16. the artist in question drew the design and squrilled it away for years. persuaded him to go for it a his first convention........took nearly nine hours, only bout 6 1/2 actually tattooing but being at a convention had to keep stopping to talk. it took best black and grey,best coloured and best in show.......was well chuffed with it.
  17. have got a few tatts' say a few but more like a lot...... full sleeve on left arm, oriental half sleeve right arm. back piece. stuff on neck/hands etc. will get more pictures of the rest but away from puter and only one on my fone is this of a piece on my calf
  18. leave that pile anywhere in monmouth and it would dissapear before youve even left site......even hed a old lady fill a pull along trolly with oak rounds before.

  20. totally agree, right tools for the job an all that. only have to look at utilities firms. 3km of trees in a day-imagine climbing every single one
