  1. But it’s a £1.2k job right? Someone on the internet said.
  2. I’ve got a similar reel I keep on my leg strap for a mini-wedge. Nice bit of kit, but I can’t find one rated for more than 3kg, so the saw would creep out on it’s own unless you high clip as well like JBH, which I thought we were trying to avoid? I’m used to my normal set up years and years. I only totally lose my shit with my lanyard every so often now. Maybe Mick, just maybe.
  3. It’s very slick if you pracice, especially with a hook like a 540. Massive shame the 2511 doesn’t have one.
  4. It’s a shite solution to a problem that doesn’t exist. Just learn to high-clip your saw. You’ll nail it in about 3 days.
  5. One that’s way too close to your house?
  6. That’s a very reasoned post J, especially the London-centric bit. As soon as anyone says they’re anti-immigration they’re always labelled as a bigot. This is utter crap. I would say the vast majority of us support the influx of skilled workers we need, and have no problem with GENUINE asylum seekers. This isn’t what’s happening though, Brexit or no Brexit. We need a government who will grow a set, and none of the current parties are up to the task. The home-brewed 3rd generation dole scum need sorting out as well. It’s all rather depressing isn’t it? ’Less people’ really is the answer, and that needs to start a long way from the UK. India charging on, set to overtake China this year as the most populated country on the planet. Adding a NET 16 million people per year to the problem. Sub-Saharan Africans still having 15 kids when their crops have failed for the 45th year in succession. And don’t even get me started on pikeys.
  7. You do talk some shite. The majority are Albanians. The last war there ended in 1945.
  8. They’re great Mick, but would you buy a new variant now?
  9. My mk6 has been bloody good to me, God knows what I’d buy now. All the modern options seem to be badly made electronic crap. I’d include all the 4x4 pickups in that statement as well. (Cue some smartarse saying ‘Well, my 6-month old Ranger has been utterly fantastic blah blah blah).
  10. Tesco sell plastic diesel containers though, the black ones. They are 5l mind, maybe the rules change for larger volumes?
  11. Much swearing?
  12. Nightmare Doug. Are you insured?
  13. Less people.
  14. @IronMike too far for you?
  15. Day 2 of connie kills, mainly taking panels out and firing between concrete posts. Twins joined me on site briefly yesterday. IMG_8349.mov
  16. @bigtreedon slotted this one through today and thought of you. 50’, but straight and vertical, pulled by hand. 462 with 20”, 550 bar wouldn’t extend the cut, and I didn’t want to mess around with both sides. Hinge was much more respectable than it looks from this angle!
  17. John just do the course. Pulling out just because your pristine chainsaw might get dirty is akin to never having a dump in case your ring gets poo on it.
  18. Bugger. Google ‘Ramset gun UK’.
  19. One of these, without a nail. Powered by .22 blanks. 503 - Service Unavailable Error WWW.AMAZON.CO.UK
  20. I’ve got one of these for when out and about. They’re meant to be pretty good, and would probably stop a quick opportunist. For storage though, Dan is right, it’s all about layers.
  21. Who will be insured.
  22. You’ll be a busy lad on your own on the ground!
