  1. I haven’t got time Dan. I’m busy taking some connies down off a ladder wearing a motorcycle suit.
  2. It’s nothing to do with brand loyalty or anything daft. No one else seems to offer a plant trailer with a 6x4 bed, bucket rest, 1230kg payload and tailgate ramp that will snug up in the workshop with my other stuff with a 3m x 1.8m overall footprint. 240kg bare and single axle also means it’s easy to handball about on my own. I’ve got a 10 x 5 Ifor on loan at the minute and the space it takes up is ridiculous.
  3. Thanks mate, just called them. They have a couple on order, next January at least.
  4. If anyone wants to sell one or knows someone who does please get in touch. Really niche little trailer that is perfect for both my machine and specific workshop set up. Not interested in any other models, thanks.
  5. I’ve got no problem with a bit of DIY mate, it’s how most of us probably started! This is different level out of depthness though.
  6. You will need insurance and certification DSC1 and DSC2.
  7. That’s sad. My brother used to drive him about for a bit, always said he was a really decent bloke. RIP Terry McCann
  8. For once in my life Joe I was totally blameless. I was only 4 pints in, my nephew was on double figures by then.
  9. I was in a portaloo outside Twickenham on Saturday, where we’d gone for my brothers 50th for the Army v Navy. My drunken nephew decided it would be fun to tip it over. Hilarious.
  10. They’re ali Dan, 33kg. I can lift that with my cock.
  11. I say this for your own good Ed, your’e better off investing your time and money in getting yourself a new job. Save some money, get some pros in to remove them completely, and plant something more appealing that you can keep on top of yourself. Removal won’t double the quote of topping. ’Topping’ that one tree to 10’ yourself will make sod-all difference to the price, it will almost certainly kill it, will achieve nothing and you will hurt yourself or something around you. Anyone who has suggested suitable handsaws etc. should hang their heads in shame. This is a pro site, where amateurs are very welcome to accept (FREE) pro advice. None of us have got anything to gain by this, unless they live within about 2 miles away from you in London. It was pretty big last time I was there. You come across as pretty intelligent, don’t become another accident statistic. Also, those trees are probably full of nesting pigeons and doves right now, which is another minefield….
  12. Luckily I’d stacked a few bigger jobs up purposely until I got the machine. Worky Quad also state that the manual must be on the machine at all times, in the tube, same as on my Timberwolf. Slight problem is there doesn’t appear to be a tube? Not a massive problem, it can live in my porn mag rack I’ve fabbed up, with hands-free page turner, next to my tinny holder.
  13. Cheers Ben. I won’t be dragging, I can assure you. We’re on a mini loader thread….
  14. You do know if you, or whoever, ‘top them out’ they will grow back, right? About 3’ every year, and wider….
  15. Thanks Ben, sounds really useful. Still grinds my beef that ‘tracker detectors’ are freely available on ebay. Who the frick do ebay think are buying the things?
  16. Great tip mate, I definitely owe you a pint now! Over £300 cheaper, all risks. Transport wise I’ve done a short term swap with a mate. He gets my camping trailer, I get a 10x5 Ifor with a proper loading ramp. Problem is it nearly fills the garage! I’ll go down the 10’ ramps route as soon as I can, then save up for something like an Ifor GX84. Be nice to have both options. I bust my collar bone on Saturday, so it will take a while. On the plus side I have a few jobs in where I can just use the loader with my sling on while the lads take up the slack, which is a bloody Godsend! Re training, I really wouldn’t fancy anything too formal. I just started slow and light and it’s pretty quick to find out what they can and can’t do. That was on hard, level ground. Slopes will be the test. When I bought the cheapo trailer I can honestly say I was nervous about tracking it up ramps into a Transit bed. A couple of days in it wouldn’t phase me. These 10 footers are 6t rated, very wide, and a steal at £680 inc.
  17. What sort of size are the units Ben?
  18. You are totally delusional. You don’t even seem to have any idea what you want to achieve.
  19. Arborwear do some good trousers, FR Jones stock them. Not cheap, but they’re well designed and last well.
  20. If they are untouched and 40 years old you won’t even get near half way with a 7.5m ladder. Good luck, you will need it.
  21. The fuel cost of taking 4 40year old leylandii to the tip will probably outweigh the costs of getting the pros in.
  22. He’s winding you up Kate! Well done to all the winners. Great shot Carlos.
  23. It’s actually a really nice little trailer, but it’s on the cusp with the grab. I can get the weight further forward with the grab off, but it’s suicidal to carry on like this.
