  1. Why not just take them out and plant something decent?
  2. The Labour Party will never be taken seriously when she is part of it.
  3. It’s like Mick said. Nothing on there is particularly impressive on it’s own, but when you’ve handballed thousands of tonnes of it in the past you really appreciate the benefits.
  4. You have no idea Mick. I’m waiting for Klou to make the ‘wipe my arse and lace my boots’ attachment.
  5. That’s why I bought a loader Mick. 11 years too late…. I sub to my mates Treevolution, but at £300. They know what a mini loader can, and more importantly, can’t, do. They do me favours as well though. Anyone who knows the value they can bring could swallow £400.
  6. That would explain it then Steve. He probably sold them to some Americans for £2m and has been on the lash in Vegas ever since….
  7. I remember that machine well John, kind of set you on the road towards mechanical power. A takedown where you used the Boxer coupled with a GRCS to rig some big stems comes to mind. I knew you were onto a winner, so quickly followed you 11 years later.
  8. Perfectly put Dan. The drum chippers (with the GM CS100 being the gold standard) are just a much better design.
  9. Worky Quad saved the day here towing a 230 over a rough paddock to the base of a big conny, where the chip was staying. Saved a gruelling 75m dragathon.
  10. Moose! Where have you been hiding! Have a blast Stubs, ignore any advice from Eggs.
  11. See all that snow melting? Emissions from that saw, that’s why.
  12. I went for a log grab because I think it’s better suited to what I do, and the ball hitch on mine was a big factor, but the bucket grab is more versatile. I’d love to have both.
  13. I wouldn’t zip chunky cord if I could help it, that’s normally rigged conventionally then pulled with a tag line if needs be.
  14. I made up my zip kit with 10 of these from Skyland, and 10 webbing slings. About a oner all in. You should use steel crabs not ali. Foin Oval Steel carabiner - Screw Gate SKYLANDEQUIPMENT.COM Foin Oval Screwgate Connector Foin have been making connectors for over 20 years proving their quality...
  15. If it’s half full I don’t need a loader.
  16. I am getting a BT pole though. I’m making a crane next week.
  17. Pallet forks are expensive! That’s honestly not a BT pole, it’s an old post!
  18. Another real consideration is that I plan to work on my own a lot more for jobs like hedgecutting, so the scope for ‘2 man lifts’ will decrease a bit.
  19. You can’t grab a fully loaded bag with the grab. Half loaded bags yes, but we can handball them anyway. Even if the lifter works it won’t come out much, just on jobs where there is an absolute shitload of dust or rakings and you just want to get home. Cost me nothing and took 20 minutes to make. Although I have spent considerable time arguing with people on the internet….
  20. Obviously, if it doesn’t work with a loaded bag he’s an idiot.
