  1. I'll have another look mate. The bottom of my truck seems to get minging really easily, though! You aren't meant to go under the unpropped body you know?
  2. Give me your dinner money or else! Utilising the space under the tipper bed is a good idea, but I don't think you can compare the storage space gained by racking the rear cab out. We never have more than 3 and the dog in the cab at work, so it made sense for my. It's just a simple ply coffin box with no ends that sits across the rear seats. I carry a couple of spare ton bags under the tipper, always handy!
  3. Poem received from my bro today, written for the Poppy Appeal abusers: This land was built from blood and tears, The Sacrifice of 2000 years. The Romans came, the Vikings too, So why should we be afraid of you? Mark my words, and mark them well, It was 1066 when we last fell. When it comes to a fight we hate to lose, So respect our dead, or leave. You choose.
  4. Why not just cut loads of crosses in it with a blunt chainsaw, expecting the stump to disappear in about 6 weeks? Seems to be the norm round here.... Sorry Rhys!
  5. I agree Jonny, but I sometimes feel a bit of a thicko quoting a post just above my reply? Your reply, however, is basically an admittance that your throughbox solution is shite compared to my cheapo plywood lash-up.
  6. Wasn't aimed at your post Jonny, you snuck your solution in while I was commenting on Centrals. Through box impossible to access with my ali sides which are bolted to the dropsides. There is acres of space above the seats in the rear of a D/C. Why not use it? Also doesn't screw the truck for resale to other trades. And a throughbox would limit my chip capacity to 3.75T instead of 4....
  7. That's a shite solution. You can't put your kit away at the end of a job with over a tonne of chip in the back. I've put a pic of my D/C plywood rack up before, I'll take another one. It sits on top of the rear seats, and can be taken out in minutes for those lucrative 6-person taxi moments!
  8. Could get the lot shifted with a farmer mate from Sutton Valence, but would need a little bit of notice.
  9. Welcome Grandad. If you could get some pics out of your old Box Brownie onto this forum we would all appreciate it!
  10. We missed 11.11 yesterday (realised I hadn't heard my phone alarm set for 11.09), and agreed to hold our own silences separately. My little bro arrived in the Afghan yesterday. 4th time for him.
  11. Got your PM Straightfell, lanyard will be in the post next week. I've got a few bits of hitch-cord if you need them? Depends what systems you use. I'm addressing it to 'Mr. S. Fell'. Happy to help out decent guys, but this thieving is out of control. I'm a bit annoyed that some people continually defend the group(s) of thieving scum that cause all this grief TBH.
  12. Good distance from butt to base of top there Daniel. What was it? (I know you measured it!) Nicely done.
  13. Not being funny Hazzy, but are you trying to drop the farmer in the shite?
  14. Mint pic Tom. Dutchie and Benny 'The Panther' lie like that all the time.
  15. Depends where you are. We are still pretty toasty down here in Kent, but it was -6 back in Northumberland at my folks this week (at night). I'd only do a light trim now on a well maintained hedge, even down here. We try and get our big hedge jobs for our educated customers finished by September, and do them again in March before nesting really kicks off.
  16. Refreshing honesty. I have some large fells coming up....
  17. Same as Tommer really. You can sometimes find a diamond in a turd (if diamonds are good tunes and turds are musical genres). The Smiths were the band I was really into.
  18. Me too. The unit should be available as a voluntary aid to learning advanced techniques, rather than being pushed as something that is a LEGAL requirement.

    Sleep

Aye, good one that Will! My wife is an accountant. No valium here....
