  1. Fair play to you mate, you're keen, but I think these 'willing to work for free' offers aren't a good idea. They devalue yourself, and the industry in general. Better to say 'I'll do a couple of days and you pay what you think I'm worth'. Qualifications are NOT the starting point in this industry. You need to know you are going to enjoy it to some degree before spending a few grand on tickets! Good luck!
  2. Aha, but then I would be the only one to not register, and undercut you all by 20%....
  3. Aye, diesel bill would kill the deal! You'd shift that no probs on Ebay for decent money.
  4. If it's as good as most of their clothes it will be beyond awful and cost £73000.
  5. Good cutting Gord. Big tree. Sharp saws.
  6. Good machine, but you will have to work on your guns if you want to take it to and fro every day.
  7. I've just grassed you and Liam to the HSE mate. They are preparing dawn raids for you two tomorrow.
  8. Tone, in Ash does it encourage invasion by other parasitic forms?
  9. Good point well made Ben. We all do it now and again Liam, just not on a public forum....
  10. Honest post mate. My original Stein jacket is now about as waterproof as a sieve, despite washing with reproofer.
  11. And get your visor down! Good pics though mate. Love the milling in the woods.
  12. I'd love it mate, but I reckon it would be a tad out of my price range.
  13. You're all heart fellas! April next year is the plan. That's when my mate is getting spliced. Sorry....
  14. Fair play mate, keep the pics coming, and your report. You're in Melbourne?
  15. Matt can I have some of your drugs please?
  16. Thanks for that Pete. I'll swig this pint of Rohypnol then try and get my head round it.
  17. Steve /mods, I'm aware this may be in the wrong forum, so please feel free to move as necessary. I'm after some advice on the value of Oak butts, which I felled for a farmer mate 18 months ago. Roadside. What is a 'hoppus foot' (is it the extractable square from a round. if you get me), and what is the current value per? No newbie questions, please. English Oak. Thanks.
  18. Very, very fit, but you wouldn't want to fall out with her and have her Dad after you....
  19. Nice tan Ewan! Glad you're enjoying it mate, that looked a fair sized tree? Some agricultural help extracting these Oak butts I dropped a couple of years ago (hence the bramble).
  20. One of the best posts I've read on Arbtalk.
  21. Reg I love the way that you are so lucky in guessing where to put the slings to balance your picks. I wish I was that lucky. Yours, M Bolam Top stuff as ever mate, I hope things settle down for you and family quickly in Maple leaf country, and they can understand your accent.
