  1. All dogs are 99% wolf. You get what you get, but they’re basically wolves. The XL Bully trend baffles me though. Why?
  2. Just buy the Weaver harness but don’t get it LOLER’d.
  3. May have overcooked it today on a seriously compromised cherry takedown, but I had to get back for kids football.
  4. Thanks Will, they’d be just the ticket. Any advice on drilling/bolting to a light rsj? Ideally I’d want to just pick it up with the grab rather than fannying around making a different headstock for it and swapping attachments.
  5. Minus the cost of 75 cartridges. If only you could shoot like Ross White….
  6. Heath Robinson tined rake is on the to-do list mate.
  7. Connie death fest with big help from the mighty Worky Quad, 19 60 footers, previously topped at 20’, so multi-stemmed, dead middle shitbags. All assisted fells. Client kept the timber, 14 ‘full to the brim’ loads of chip, we aren’t in ULEZ down here. 2 full loads of dust and rakings, again mainly handled with the WQ. 3 days. Just in, ready for my second beer now, had my first one on the way to the yard, didn’t touch the sides.
  8. Ha, why do you think my right forearm is so muscular?
  9. 5m/minute though. I’m faster than that with my Tirfor!
  10. Fred was a pro though. This is different level insanity.
  11. Not for all the money in the World. Some bloke.
  12. I reckoned about 500, but Macca has done a lot more crane work than me and reckoned 650. 9’ long, 20” dia. Pissing with sap. The bucket is fairly gay, but more hetero than a shovel.
  13. Also managed to load this stick that Danny Mac wanted, probably about 650kg. It won’t lift anything like that obviously, but we managed to wrestle it on.
  14. Then on to give the lads a lift with yesterdays oak takedown. The standing timber was how we left it yesterday. All loaded and tipped in 45 minutes. Think they were pleased I rocked up or they would have to have handballed the lot.
  15. This mornings job was shifting a cherry through the warehouse entrance of a convenience shop in town, no vehicle access to rear garden, 60m drag.
  16. Busy week for the Worky Quad. Loaded 20 tonnes of sand over 2 nights on to my mates trailer to spread on the juniors football pitch to improve drainage. Community effort, I couldn’t be arsed to faff about with the trailer so I just drove down to the village. It would have been rude not to stop at the local for a couple on the way home. 44ed2e0c-4d12-4fea-87f7-163820a505b5.mp4 3c8db3d3-71bc-4208-9983-28af0a367b63.mp4
  17. But it’s a £1.2k job right? Someone on the internet said.
  18. I’ve got a similar reel I keep on my leg strap for a mini-wedge. Nice bit of kit, but I can’t find one rated for more than 3kg, so the saw would creep out on it’s own unless you high clip as well like JBH, which I thought we were trying to avoid? I’m used to my normal set up years and years. I only totally lose my shit with my lanyard every so often now. Maybe Mick, just maybe.
  19. It’s very slick if you pracice, especially with a hook like a 540. Massive shame the 2511 doesn’t have one.
  20. It’s a shite solution to a problem that doesn’t exist. Just learn to high-clip your saw. You’ll nail it in about 3 days.
  21. One that’s way too close to your house?
  22. That’s a very reasoned post J, especially the London-centric bit. As soon as anyone says they’re anti-immigration they’re always labelled as a bigot. This is utter crap. I would say the vast majority of us support the influx of skilled workers we need, and have no problem with GENUINE asylum seekers. This isn’t what’s happening though, Brexit or no Brexit. We need a government who will grow a set, and none of the current parties are up to the task. The home-brewed 3rd generation dole scum need sorting out as well. It’s all rather depressing isn’t it? ’Less people’ really is the answer, and that needs to start a long way from the UK. India charging on, set to overtake China this year as the most populated country on the planet. Adding a NET 16 million people per year to the problem. Sub-Saharan Africans still having 15 kids when their crops have failed for the 45th year in succession. And don’t even get me started on pikeys.
  23. You do talk some shite. The majority are Albanians. The last war there ended in 1945.
