  1. No big story really. I was driving to a job on the Wye Downs with my mate a few years back along a single width country lane. A black cat about the size of a labrador walked across the road and stopped halfway across. Probably 60m away. When I drove towards it it darted into the hedgerow. Broad daylight, both sober, and saw the same thing. We got to the job and told the customer, who wasn’t surprised in the slightest. ’Yes, they are around here’. I’m a country lad who has shot and hunted my whole life, so I know the difference between a black domestic moggy that was closer than I thought or a badger etc.

  3. They are pathetic. If someone was 30kg over in their truck they would probably have had the gun squad there.

  5. You could get Stevie Wonder to do it, the result will be pretty much the same.
  6. Tom you don’t get this Arbtalk thing. You’re meant to ask a question, get annoyed with the suggestions and answers given because you don’t like them, then disappear forever. To stick around making sensible comments and listening to good advice is considered very bad form.
  7. It’s ironic isn’t it? Whenever I buy a Chinese it’s always made in England.

  9. AUDIO is a good one Mark J put me on to. I’ll do it tomorrow.
  10. Admittedly VULVA wasn’t as successful as I’d hoped. They’ve got to put it in though, right?
  11. Do you use the same starter word? I know technically it doesn’t make a difference if you start with a solid one, but I’m mixing things up a bit these days.

  14. There may or may not be an element of truth in that….
  15. That bear would have eaten you for sure, but it spotted your top-knot and assumed you were either a Samurai or a bender and decided against it.
  16. Would anyone change their minds about big cats if they actually saw one with their own eyes like I did? There is actually plenty of evidence as well, including DNA.
  17. I’m hearing you better now Paul. So you’d just pick it up with pallet forks rather than just dragging it about?
  18. Don’t worry Peter, there’s always next year.
  19. I think you’d struggle with a skid on domestic stuff. People are protective over their drives and lawns. We spend enough time already messing around with track mats and stokboards. If you’re mainly commercial it will be much less of an issue.

  21. Just musing Paul, but would a simpler solution not be just to get a 16’ plant trailer? You could use the loader to push or pull a wheeled 125 or 160 onto the trailer and carry both together.
  22. Yes way! Wordle 1,290 2/6 🟨⬜🟩🟨🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  23. Give it a go mate!
  24. Sounds ideal mate. I totally get kids wanting stuff at Christmas, it can be a really magical time if you put some thought into it. I don’t get grown adults wanting tons of crap though, I simply don’t.
  25. I’m a massive Christmas fan, love pretty much all of it. BUT the consumerism thing is beyond a joke. Luckily both our families are pretty sensible. Our kids get nice stuff, but not ridiculous. They appreciate what they get. Needless plastic crap isn’t welcome. For a few years now the adults buy for one other person, £100 value, and you pretty much tell each other what you want. I got a Gransfors splitting maul one year, now there’s a present! It saves running around fretting what to get the mother in law etc., then invariably buying some crap for the sake of it. MIL is Dutch, so we have kids stockings first thing, dog walk, boozy lunch etc. then main presents in the evening, which keeps the anticipation up for the kids and works for us.
