  1. 6.3 tonnes. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  2. I forgot you were a bit of a unit. Aye, Zigzag or VT and foot ascender might not suit you. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  3. Agreed. You can't base a spec on 'give it a couple of hours worth and stop when the truck is 1/4 full'. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  4. A repollard is a repollard. If that's the spec you could end up cutting stuff telegraph pole thickness or above. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  5. I used to run a single cab Transit, absolute ballache constantly shifting tools and kit. I run a double cab now with the back seats racked out, but there's a lot of wasted space (the seats are still in there). Something like this would be the best option for arb work (with greedy boards). Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  6. The major benefit is customer service. Ring the business helpline and you speak to someone English who sounds like they can read past primary school level. This is why I have a business account, although HSBC have just closed my local branch, which at least means I've finally had the sense to say no to cheques, which I make very clear at quote stage. 7. That's exactly it. It's not illegal, they just don't like it. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  8. I'd go extra/king/super/space cab rather than double. More bed space and dog/kit friendly, especially with suicide doors. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  9. That's the way I'd go. Something like this. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  10. +1 It wasn't a 'tree surgeon' who 'cut it back'. It was an idiot. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  11. Canny crack there Matty! Glad you got it done mate. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  12. I don't want to divert things too much from the catastrophic and tragic element of this thread, but by far the biggest number of injuries forcing climbers to quit the industry early are caused by wear and tear. Wrists, elbows, shoulders, knees etc. Everyone needs to look at the big picture. The tree game is great, don't leave it early. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  13. Give Nod a shout mate, he'll sort you out. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  14. The benefits are all to the bank. Listen to Huck. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  15. Important point mate, and I work for myself. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  16. The crown diameter v. height ratio increases dramatically as you approach areas where Joe Newton and Stephen Blair have been working. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  17. I reckon 6 or so would cover what I have in mind initially.
  18. Jammy little gits! I'd never leave the house if I was like that.
  19. They might not breed if you only get 2. How do you sex them?????
  20. They look well cool. Surely you can't post them though!!!
  21. That looks really handy. The only thing that would put me off is that it doesn't look like it would take a 14mm line with a splice through the pulley, and obviously isn't midline attachable. I'm way too lazy to have to feed the blank end of a 50m line through for every set up. Anyone?
