  1. That’s exactly my set up Joe. Ticks every box for me.
  2. No, the tension stays on all the time, just swaps between straps.
  3. Simultaneous money shot then monkeybusiness! You explained it better than me.
  4. Because you run out of pull quickly, so need to keep swapping them.
  5. True Bill, and it shows everyone you are a real tree surgeon.
  6. My Andrews boots have at least a 3/4" heel.
  7. I don't know mate, it would be the best 5 seconds of her life!
  8. True Paul, very true. Probably use my 2511 more than anything else these days!
  9. I want to know the story of how the tractor pin got there.
  10. #Husqvarna #Stihl ARE YOU LISTENING!!!!!!!!!!
  11. The ones on my 560 get too hot to hold without gloves really quickly mate. Pretty sure they would on tickover. I’ll have to test that out.
  12. I have asked Husky and Stihl about the possibility of putting heated handles on a topper and they both told me there was no call for it. Calling me a puff, basically. I’d give my left bollock for one.
  13. It is dangerous to say that the lad didn’t cut a gob. The longer version of the vid shows he did. People might look at that and think ‘Aah, no gob, someone on the internet said. So if I’m in the same situation and cut a gob everything will work out just dandy’.
  14. I forgive you J (and Marcus). It’s Christmas!
  15. No, you’ve missed my point. I didn’t say our fictitious job was worth £150, you did. I’d be happy with £110. So would another 5 customers that day. Who is cheapest? Who would the customers come back to?
  16. You have missed my point Vesp. A small fell. It would take you all day. You’re happy with £150. We smash it with 3 of us in an hour and charge £110 (and with £40k’s worth of kit, admittedly). Ask the customer- Who is cheapest? And who gave the ‘rip off’ price then?
  17. Most of the comments on here are futile, we simply don’t know what was going on. We weren’t there. No gob No high tie in. All bollocks. Really glad the lad survived. Some of the comments on here have been embarrassing, at best.
  18. ? You and I know just because you’re correctly geared up to do the job shouldn’t make it any cheaper mate. Easier, faster, more efficient, yes, but never cheaper! I appreciate this was for a mate, different ball game. We often work out cheaper than local ‘gardeners’ because we can do in a couple of hours which would take them an honest weeks toil. Sorry Vesp! I’ll look forward to meeting you one day J, we can blow the froth off a couple and put the world to rights. No excuse not to now you’re a southerner like me!
