  1. Probably. I’d assume it would be hooked up to something else.
  2. I reckon that’s a better option. If you get your mate to fab an anchor point onto the top of the hopper, you could attach a pulley there as and when needed and still use the winch via a redirect. Providing the chipper isn’t hooked up to the Hilux. That would be a ball ache.
  3. Good old ebay, the thieves best friend. Do you get a free Transit master key with every purchase? These cunts sicken me as much as the pikeys. Apologies for language mods, but if I thought about it for 100 years I couldn’t come up with alternative words.
  4. Already done, and by the police. Problem is that it isn’t just one site. Labyrinth of places down a wooded lane, lots gated.
  5. Very kind offer mate, thank you, but I’ll be alright I reckon. Got a good set of lads I work with down here, so we can knock the jobs out with their chippers till I get sorted. I’m not taking a chipper back to that site, though top will be getting burnt. I reckon the little scrotes virtually opposite rang their did mates on a well known site down the road when they saw us push the chipper in. The timings add up, and it was last seen very close to that site. That Citroen is known to the police, no tax or MOT, usually 3 greasy little quiffs in the front. My insurance rant was really to warn others to check that they have the cover they think they have. I’ll be getting one of Steve’s trackers next time as well.
  6. They better not put a tracker on me. I reckon some days an ambulance would rock up after getting a report that I must have died.
  7. He is clearly preparing the invoice on his invoice2go app.
  8. To be honest, the gullible new owner will be as guilty as the thieves in my eyes.
  9. They don’t make that model any more VI. Replaced by the 160, probably about £14k with the VAT. My machine had done a lot of work, but I’ve looked after it and it recently had a £2k refurb.
  10. Cheers lads. Got another good lead this morning, which I’ve passed on to my new favourite policeman. One thing I have discovered which is a bit disturbing. I reported it to my insurance company on the day, but haven’t made a claim yet, as I’m still hoping for a result. I pay extra for a ‘reinstatement’ policy on tools, i.e. new for old. I paid £7.5k for that chipper in 2009, ex-demo from Orange Plant. Turns our that the maximum pay-out would be £7.5k. I pointed out that prices tend to increase over a decade, but that’s their stance. Not really new for old then, is it? Worth checking your policies lads. Don’t be underinsured like me.
  11. Cheers fellas. Really hoping to get a result on this. Police have mentioned dashcams already Darrin, it's just finding the footage that is tricky. Social media has been a massive help, and my contact with the Police Rural Crime Unit is all over this, he's been on the phone twice already today and is reviewing CCTV footage.
  12. That's a very kind offer Al, and much appreciated. Thank you. Von who I work with has a chipper though, so I'll be ok in the short term.
  13. 2009. Non standard beefy hitch and safety chain.
  14. TW209130010-A5 Serial number. They left the spout. Non standard hitch and safety chain.
  15. Chipper nicked off site this morning. Citroen Dispatch or similar. Left out front with locks on while I shot home to get a pulley to winch windblown plates. Back in 10. Von was on site, but went round back to start cutting. I get back, reverse down drive, no chipper. TW 125 minus discharge shute. Wearing reg PE06DMY. Serial no. in next post. Think they were tipped off by local scum, (who I found out live 50m opposite), we weren’t followed. Arbsafe registered and insured. Police have been brilliant, they are all over this. Yes, it’s all over FB, that’s where the CCTV footage is from.
  16. Of course she works donnk. She’s the ‘company secretary’.
  17. What a belter that last line is donnk! How did it end up @Matthew Storrs?
  18. Good point htb. Your rope is a disgrace Stihlmad. You could catch something from it. Get it washed. You sicken me.
  19. That looks a good one Craig. I've used the full '540' wrap htb mentions above on plenty of skinny stems, but that looks like an interesting compromise. Cheers.
  20. Sorted! Eddies post is spot on imo. We’ve certainly made a lot of progress from upgrading a GM130 to mogs and tractors! Totally depends what your typical work is (or what you want it to be).
  21. There is no way I’m Googling ‘Quick Fist’ with my search history.
  22. Do you want to fix it vertically for super-fast crown raising?
  23. Big tree Don. You looked like a baby up there! Was it winched with the mog? Seems a shame, like. Did they say ‘I love trees, of course, it’s just all those leaves!’
  24. New ones mate. Can’t compare them because I never had the old ones. Very comfy, no digging into achilles problems here (the tops are very soft at the back). I am double-hard, of course.
