  1. Just be aware that using a mog you could find your self in more trouble than it's worth Sorted.
  2. This conny shat itself last night with half going through the fence with the tips resting on the neighbours conservatory. Thankfully the wind had dropped this morning, so got the other half down safely without damaging the pergola and seating area. Bomb site to tidy up this week, but we had lunch booked.
  3. Haha! For what it’s worth mate I’ve had things go astray and there’s normally an innocent explanation. Hope you get a result. Honey Brothers are a top company, and their UPS service is normally great. I’m lucky though, I live in the sticks and my neighbours are superb (and long suffering).
  4. Paddy is in court, again, accused of beating his wife. The Judge said ‘Paddy, you’re here before me again. Why do you keep beating your wife?’ Paddy said ‘Well Your Honour. I think it’s due to my better footwork, faster hand speed and superior reach’.
  5. Bigger chipper = bigger truck If you’re still on a 3.5tonner a bigger chipper won’t change production much.
  6. Aye, you lie down with dogs you get fleas.
  7. I doubt it Darrin. He's a Manc.
  8. More pant-staining stuff Reg. That split top looked particularly nasty. Why were the trees in such a state? Just age? Loved the way you didn't rub it in about your mate's stumble at all!
  9. I would have said a chipper was a minimum requirement.
  10. I measured the one we used to use for log deliveries and is was 1.58m3 level. Thats assuming it has the same back on it.
  11. Sssshhhhhhhhhh. Tell Matty there's good salmon fishing there and he'll be up like a shot to look at your trees and advise what's best.
  12. Lovely spot. Remember that reducing them in size isn't a one-stop solution. Once you do it they will need redoing every now and then. In my experience birch tends to develop rot at the cutting points fairly readily. Bill's points about checking for rot and fruiting bodies are good ones, also check periodically for any cracking in the ground or changes in level (heave).
  13. There's a back story here Nick. Those trees are due to be felled when the road is expanded to dual carriageway. They were dismembered and the stems left, presumably for a hiab wagon to come in and take the heavy later. Then a classic row blew up between ABC and the developer (who is building thousands of new houses at Chilmington Green just down the road) about who exactly is paying for the road expansion, and progress has ground to a halt. You would think that this might have been discussed at the planning stage. If Ashford Borough Council fell into a bucket of tits they would come out sucking their thumb.
  14. I respect her for her stance on the Falklands, and in breaking the power of the unions, as they had gone too far. But.... What she did to the miners, their communities, and heavy industry in general was disgraceful. If a small child misbehaves you tell it off or smack its arse. You don’t stove its head in with a shovel. Nationalised industries not working? Get a grip and sort them out then. Don’t sell them to a bunch of greedy twats who make them worse. No long term view. It’s as if she hated her own children. Which she probably did.
  15. I just thought I'd post something to remove that stupid long name in the last post from my forum layout. It affects my OCD badly.
  16. Carbon geckos with leather straps here now Joe. Cinch them up tight and you’ll be sorted.
  17. Mine don’t move an inch with the straps Joe. Might be different with the velcro. Enough heel without being too 70’s. The Pilates do look good. Just might be a bit clunky for spikeless clambering work.
