  1. Let us know how it goes mate. Apparently they have ironed out the sometimes temperamental starting issues with the new model. Still loving my first generation model.
  2. Big trees usually are! Remember none of us have seen it yet.
  3. 3 gardens to rig over as well. Slows things a bit.
  4. Hence the 2 days. You said a decent team could do it in one.
  5. Agree. I would put 2 days on it.
  6. All depends on access like Mick said. Few loads in that stem right enough if it’s going off site.
  7. They can all be felled Mick....
  8. My mate will report the failure of the TPO’d oak this week. Not sure how the ABC Planning Department is functioning at the minute.
  9. We could do it, not keen on the power line stuff though, and the TM it would need. Just seems fair that if a company can do the report and are keen on taking on the work that they get first crack at it.
  10. Easy thicko work is my bag, baby.
  11. I have a long standing customer in Aldington, Kent who has around 6 mature oaks which are TPO’d. One shat itself on Friday and snapped clean off at the base, falling across a footpath. Luckily damage was only minor. He would like a full arb report done on the remaining trees, probably PICUS tests as well. Potential targets include house, garage, road, HV and LV lines. Ultimately he would like justification to reduce them, which isn’t really my bag, so there could potentially be quite a lot of work. Any offers or recommendations of a reliable company to undertake this would be appreciated.
  12. Well done mate, well executed and thanks for the update.
  13. To be fair lads, Cummings should have been arrested a long time ago by the fashion police.
  14. What an idiot. It’s not from London, it’s from Chynah.
  15. Ah, thanks Joe. Nicely done Andy. I’ve got two cubes. When I’ve made an arse of it with both I put my spikes on.
  16. Andy I just don’t get it? Can you explain better what’s going on? Anything that helps with throwline fuckonery is a definite winner!
  17. Sounds like a very familiar story, back in the day. Before lockdown.
  18. FFS you just can’t win with some people can you? Do you not think it makes sense to test you as well in the circumstances? Unless you’ve not been within 2m of her, in which case I congratulate you on the size of your penis.
  19. 4. People (like me) who aren’t overly bothered about contracting it themselves, but would prefer not to spread it around, especially to people who are higher risk. Mate has just come out of ICU after 5 weeks on a ventilator. The other 2 people in his room (42 and 46) went out the other door. I’m getting on with my life, but I’m not begging for the pubs to open yet either.
  20. Second shot is brilliant mate. Nice to see folk with a sense of humour.
  21. Everyone knows in the future HMRC will be gunning for a load of hairy-arsed tree climbers who have taken this cash. It will be their absolute top priority.
  22. This is all hypothetical, I’ve had a few drinks. No access for machines and won’t pay for machines are two different things? I totally understand you walking away from this job mate, I would have sprinted. ’Accept minimal damage to shed = have your pants down if a flake of sawdust touches it’. Chancers mate, they live and breathe. Previous advice has been spot on. You were right to walk, I wouldn’t look back. BUT Hypothetically this was for your best client. Money no object and genuinely no machine access for crane, tracked MEWP etc.? How would you do it? That split is nasty. It could close or widen at any point. It’s not 35’ either, look at the butt.
  23. Tried to use ours tonight Tommy, we’ve supported them all the way through. I despise the Chinese regime and their lies, but even I’m not thick enough to take it out on people who work hard, integrate well, and haven’t been to CHYNA! for 30 years. 3 hour waiting list, mind, so we had kebabs instead.
  24. 250,000 dead and the NHS totally collapsed but hurrah! we can go for a pint! Loads of twats in Hyde Park today fighting your corner though.
  25. Sorry, I’ve been drinking Budweiser.
