  1. I’m experimenting with this at the moment. Slightly cheaper!
  2. Facebook is full of twats asking for ‘any good climbers available tomorrow?’. The answer is no. I used to book gun climbers like Rich Rule sometimes 6 weeks in advance for big jobs, which could be painful when the weather didn’t want to play. We’d firm things up in the week leading up. We give about two weeks lead time for most SE lads, but are lucky knowing what days they can normally expect unless anything changes either end. I expect @Joe Newtoncould give you some advice from a top notch freelance climbers perspective, or Rich but I can’t bloody tag him!
  3. I hear you Mick. I’m hoping to take the plunge next year, albeit something much smaller like the Cast Worky Quad. Dealer is about 7 miles away.
  4. The Jeff Bezos of the arb world, right there.
  5. There is no chance of that Mick. Not with 4 of us in the front drinking Stella and smoking reefers.

    Hernia

It seems likely I have a hernia, waiting for an ultrasound. Dull pain for a few weeks in my lower belly sent me to the Doctors, and he’s pretty sure there’s a split, but no bulge. Obviously I need to be careful and then get an op, but apparently waiting lists are quite long. I have no idea if that means 2 months or 2 years. I’ve bought a support belt for the interim, but can anyone comment on post-op recovery times? I would imagine I’m looking at several weeks off work. Any other useful tips? Thanks.

    Arb truck

It’s a dream truck for me, but I’d go king cab simply because I have dogs. If you don’t need to get off road much get a Transit or similar and enjoy the much bigger load capacity.
  8. Thanks guys, but remember the Transit has dual rears. All the normal makes are way too wide.
  9. Thanks Will, but I’m pretty sure they don’t do the right size.
  10. I currently have Fedima Fronteira AT’s on the rears of my Transit, which have been great, but the sidewalls are a bit perished now after 4 years, and it’s coming up to MOT time. They are basically a budget BF copy. Someone on here mentioned another brand recently, but I can’t remember what it was. Any suggestions appreciated. Must be AT’s and 185/75 R16. Thanks.
  11. Well done Italy. On balance I thought they edged it. We should have been bolder. Looking good for the World Cup next year. In football speak ‘we go again’.
  12. Betting on England is daft, if they lose you’re pissed off and you’ve lost your money. I honestly think we’ve got too much for Italy. More like 3–1 to us.
  13. Doesn’t matter. England would have won any group they were put in because they are genuinely the best team in the tournament.
  14. Make sure you get some vids up pulling trees over Johny!
  15. We have found squabs in every month of the year. I wish the AA and other bodies would stop assuming that birds have calendars. They don’t.
  16. Tough game, massive respect for Denmark throughout the tournament, they were superb. We deserved it tonight though. I will love it if we beat Italy. Love it.
  17. It’s a bit worrying that two of your ‘staff’ feel it necessary to ‘have their own insurance’.
  18. Pfanners are meant to be good spike boots Paddy, although I get on fine with my Andrews. I’m not on spikes for hours at a time these days, though.
  19. Have you considered outsourcing production to China Beau? Get it shipped back, Union Jack stamped on the bags, jobs a good ‘un!
  20. I did repair the timer on our Dualit toaster with a cheap part off the internet and some help from Youtube! I don’t get this outsourcing to China bollocks. Most of us would be happy to pay a bit more for genuine British stuff if the quality was there.
