  1. Looks a really handy little machine mate.
  2. Similar spec to the Cast Worky Quad I think. 350kg and 1.4m lift is a lot of hand balling! Any loader has to be better than no loader! If you hate it you can probably claw most of your cash back as they don’t seem to come up for sale that often.
  3. Started when they were 58.
  4. You could have recreated Agincourt with that lot Mick!
  5. That’s because they’re useless Mick. I used to do a 25 hour shift down the pit before I walked to school every day (85 miles).
  6. There was loads of malice in it Eggs. Late 80’s I had a really nice side part long flick (Dr. Robert from the Blow Monkeys) which I was forever flicking when I was meant to be pushing a barrow. One day, ‘Bolam, get up here!’ Poked my head through a hatch, my head was gripped, and my flick was taken off with one blow of a hatchet. How I hated those bullying old bastards! For one second! Happy times, seriously can’t remember when I’ve been happier. You know the score Eggs, we’d be had up for assault now.
  7. Lend me ten pounds and I’ll buy you a drink….
  8. I was on for Alfred McAlpines in the early ‘90’s Spudd, and you’re spot on. I loved every minute. Still good mates with some of those lads. Your sites sound the same as ours, the piss-taking and banter is the only thing that gets us through some of the rougher jobs. High-fiving each other while dragging dead hawthorns out of a stagnant pond shouting ‘Number one job in the world!’ As the old Paddys used to say ‘The craic is worth £20k a year!’ We’re serious when it matters, but having fun is vitally important to the way we like to operate.
  9. Of course they would mate, but the Chinese don’t give a toss about emissions. Alec’s post is correct, but Johnsond is also spot on about our lack of appetite for change. We seem happy just to move the emissions problem sideways. We all live on the same planet. While I’m on a rant I would like to add that my 2006 diesel Transit is far more environmentally friendly than any electric veganmobile. Lithium doesn’t grow on trees. Most of the green energy thing is a short sighted crock of shit anyway, but we should at least use it to benefit our own country if we have the chance.
  10. I don’t allow any talking on my sites. If people want to chat they can do it at home on their own time.
  11. I haven’t seen it on paper yet mate, but yes, sounds like what they call bilateral inguinal hernia.
  12. Thanks mate. Got to be glad it’s nowt sinister I suppose.
  13. It could be worse Mick.
  14. Just had the doctor call back eventually. Turns out I haven’t got a hernia. I’ve got two, both sides. Looks like a long wait even for surgical assessment. Bugger.
  15. Disgraceful. Even if UK builds were more expensive initially, surely the country would be better off in the long run?
  16. ‘One competitor against an imaginary opponent’. ‘Watching’, of course.
  17. I’m a dead cert for a gold if they include porn in 2024.
  18. Have you tried non-CE Cougar blue? Far less bounce, and great Ddrt rope as well. Nod at Treeworker can normally get it.
  19. He’ll call me Mick.
