  1. it's ok, I will send them an invoice for wasting my time!!! And the standard £45 for a consauntly letter!!!

They called me on thursday saying that they saw I was a new business and they got my number from some local commerce, I was selceted to go to some meeting with 30 other local businesses, and you end up advertising on a wall planner that goes to some 200,000 local businesses apperantly!!! Told him I was a sub-contracter and it wouldnt really affect my 'business'.
  3. Our game is called off due to frozen pitch!!, so i can watch the games on telly now
  4. Its one of the joys of living in old fishermans cottages, the walls are about a foot thick solid granite and pretty much sound proof
  5. I think as long as you tell the customer what they are getting, and the pros and cons of it there is no issue. Ive got a sheadfull of 4mth old ash and it burns great, I give my neighbour anything else I get in exchange for bass gutiar lessons, hes happy enough sticking it in his woodburner! win win all round.
  6. Towing I hear you say? these were taken yesterday in our local car park, looked like fun. Wish I had a landy yesterday, my little fiesta couldnt make it up the big hill out the village, and I lost a days work
  7. Im ment to be working for treeline, they have travelled all the way up from plymouth to a village 6miles from my house, and I cant get there!!! Going to have another try in a bit, but no one is going anywhere out the village. Oh well, just gives me an excuse to start looking at landys!!!

  9. Ive recenty started as a subbie, and its prob the best thing ive done. The first few months were tough, but it is starting to pick up now. just get the local phone book and papers and pester everyone, be willing to travel, be honest about your level of skills, learn all the different ways people do things, and most of all dont get pushed/bullied into doing something you think is wrong or unsafe.

  13. Afternoon all, im looking at getting a new pair of trousers as my current ones are starting to get a bit worn. The only problem is that I have a 30' inside leg, and always end up trashing the bottoms quite soon after getting them. Are there any brands that come in a shorter leg, most seem to be 31.5' to 32' leg as standard.

  19. If it is too low on the side I have seen some guys clipping the saw straight on with the chain brake, not sure how much damage it may cause though.

  24. Was fishing in Ilfracombe pier yesterday, and some guys were doing some clearance work on the clifftops, all bloody day, chippers and chainsaws ecohing around the harbour!!
