  1. Your right most people in the street think this is how it should be done but the lady is asking professionals on a forum so yes to a pro there ruined.
  2. Topping is topping and there still ruined no matter what species of tree.
  3. I will take a pic tomorrow of next doors topped cherry that us nearly 5 yrs growth, it looks nothing like a tree and neither will those no matter how you play about with them. What you should do is get a pro in fell grind and re plant with some extra heavy standards (approx £100 each ) and get the builder to pay or take it out of money you owe him. Those trees have been ruined so why should the customer "make do" and pay for extra work.
  4. In 5 years you won't know what's been done......really???? I beg to differ, also with this formative pruning comes a fair cost which in my opinion out weights the end result, leave alone and let them put growth on but accept there butchered or fell and re plant.
  5. Personally having seen loads of topped cherry trees like that i would say fell them and plant a tree at the end of your garden, they will put growth back on but are spoilt now. As matty said cherry should be pruned in full leaf in summer. My next door neighbour did exactly this to his tree 5 yrs ago and it still looks a complete mess.
  6. Doesn't supprise me, farmers won't buy aspen, farmers won't buy anything if they can get away with it !
  7. Haha never mind mate, this time next year!
  8. Oh yeah, never mind 80k ain't too bad.
  9. Working on a Sunday dean? Hell I bet your raking it in!
  10. Well done paul, the note 4 is great, what case you got for it?
  11. He'll that's bad, I would question the dealer if he thinks that's OK.
  12. Never had to wait more than 20 mins with any of the 4 councils I deal with. Any one who answers the phone in planning can check.
  13. No the bearings would have gone instead!
  14. No problems then, that's what warranty is for.
  15. It's not just machine life, its much nicer to use as the fumes are pretty non existent,I often think human nature is a strange thing, we all want the top quality kit for the cheapest prices then get the cheapest fuel that you have no control over to put in them????? It's expensive but then so is lunch at the ritz, get what you pay for!
  16. 261 was the worst saw I ever bought.
  17. Haha yep,bet he played hell in summer blocking the light out as well!
  18. Wait until stuff goes bang under warranty, the first thing manufacturers blame is "bad fuel" I have had it a few times so went to aspen.
  19. I had 10k flyers delivered when I first started, not really worth it in my opinion, I got some work but nothing in relation to the amount delivered, I would never do it again and glad I don't have to.
  20. Yeah it does I'm afraid.
