P28 is 28hp diesel and still available p38 is 38hp petrol, they tick a lot of box's.

I just wish they would offer the big engines in the Base models, normal "work"hilux is 2.5 but only the invincible is 3lt, same with ford,the only models available in 3.2 are the two top of the range trucks, why can't I have a Base dcab with 3.2lt???

3.2 ranger for me next I reckon, proper sized engine

Have a look at the 3.2 ranger, I did this afternoon and it's v nice! Ranger limited with the toys and a back on is 23k, not bad imo.

For a work truck though we need low down grunt not high end hp .

Yeah I know that but what I'm getting at is the tiny highly tuned engines that there all doing now nissan as well, loads of power but for how long ????Next truck will be auto I tow v little, 1.5t max tracked chipper but I reckon if your towing daily these new small engined pick ups won't last long.

Yeah there rated to 3.5t but it doesn't change the fact the dmax has a small highly tuned twin turbo engine! 3.2 ranger or 3l hilux must be better.
