  3. Sort of guessed that Dave, the lack of details throughout the thread made it hard to see what was actually going on.
  4. Totally lost now...................................
  5. On a machine this age and with the amount of use it has had i would say the engine is on its last legs, combination of worn rings, valvue guides etc. dont spend money on it, look at replacing the engine with a new one and you will have a good machine for many years with out the hassle. The old 20hp Kohlers wernt the best to be honest. Has it got a lot of crankcase pressure? run engine and remove dipstick, if a lot of smoke comes out of dipsticl tube it shows high crankcase pressure, rings are worn and enging in poor health. I looked at the same model machine last year locally and the cam shaft had snapped and taken the engine casing with it!
  6. Anyone know the nearest firm for kholer engine spares and service as near to leeds the better. contact numbers would be good aswell. Ta
  7. Class, love to see the robbin tw@ts faces!!!

  9. Think it's over priced to be honest, i got an 880 last year with a 48" bar in better condition for 600 quid but good luck anyway.

  11. Well done Dave Dave .................Who the h eck is Dave? .
  12. I would be careful what ever you put in, next door have taken down a 30ft hedge for a reason! if he puts a big hedge back in there might be trouble, rember the high hedges act or in a few years the council could be on your clients back. Slack ma girdles idea sounds good thpough. I like a nice well maintained Yew hedge though or stick in a load of conny's again if he wants sommat quick.
  13. They do look good Dean, what sort of money are they, do they come as a kit and are they easy to fit?
  14. No, this is only applicable to full size chippers and not toys.
  15. Very nice Dean, but are you making up for other things that are notable smaller than normal:lol:
  16. I do with an air line every week. its amaising how much crap gets in there.
  17. Thats where you put the special key in to wind up the knicker elastic that runs the thing.
  18. Theres a dealer on flebay, Garden hire spares/spares for all seasons, i got all my pots/pistons from him, based in the midlands somewhere, very helpful.
  19. Yes i have lent mine out to a local guy to help him out of the sh1t, he's competition actually but he gives me his grinding so im happy. not something i like to do often but its on the understanding that any damage is paid for.
  20. Fitted a few John to knackered saws, got em from a dealer of the bay, half price and just as good, mu 066 at the moment was bought knackered, spent 100 quid on a pot n piston kit and its been faultless for 12 months.
  21. my mistake, just asked him, it was a 300 tdi.
  22. It was a TD5 Tom, its the labour that kill it and then the belt kit, head skim, gasket kit, water pump valves, anti freeze etc, it all adds up to a tidy bill, far cheaper to just have the belt changed. Still cheaper than L/Rover up here at £100 an hour though.
  23. She gets me, lucky girl is our lass!
