  1. This is the Unimog i had the pleasure of using in the parks around London and once belonged to Mr Stephen Blair...it was an awsome machine! he sent me a picture of it on the shore up in Scotland...two very different terrains. There are lots of Knowledgable Mog owners on here but certainly Stephen would be able to give you advice...20 to 30k to spend you say? you lucky lad! Post lots of pictures when you do get it and i look forward to seeing it up North!
  2. All that felling and cross-cutting by hand...just shows what an innovation the petrol chainsaw was! and the timber hauler looks like a model T Ford on skis..
  3. Hope you find a worthy Arborist Chris..Very tidy looking Truck and suitably Orange looking website. Very Pro! i,m a Durham City Lad but been Climbing here in Central London for the past 4 years for my sins but i come up to see my family a few times each year..so i might see you around the Cathedral city..Best of luck marra!
  4. Don,t remember his name but he was from Liverpool and with many years experience as a tower crane opperator...you can see him interviewed on You Tube..he says that the height of the crane at the top of the Shard is only half what it is capable of climbing to!..
  5. Cool bro!..i,ll add you as a friend if that,s ok?...Any friend of Seb,s is a friend of mine especially a fellow climber and Arbtalker......P.s i pick up a spiderjack 2.1 and 45 metres of Yale blue tounge on Saturday from Honey B,s.....Happy Days!
  6. Hey Ian Seb,s Dad here...Are you at Capel Manor this year ?
  7. Workers at the top of the shard
  8. Someone will happily do it...you see rope access teams on Bridges and high buildings everywhere in Central London..Saw a cool picture of three men right at the top of the Shard working...that,s almost 77 floors up!
  9. I see your Point David but i do think that once people get used to it it will blend in well to the Skyline and even compliment the buildings around it...The old and the New can work well together.
  10. Took these photos yesterday. For Months i,ve watched the crane climb up the side..and now the Shard has become the tallest building in Europe...The job of "Jumping" the tower crane is considered to be the most dangerous job in construction. The crane opperator said he never tired of the view. it is HUGE.

  17. Good morning Predator...reading your post as i wake up to what looks like a lovely Sunny(But cold)morning and drink my coffee,it reminded me of a period in my life similar to yours...I won,t elaborate, the facts are not important, only that i can sympathise with the situation that you have found yourself in. I just wanted to reassure you that however Dark life can feel, once you truely hit rock bottom there really is only one route that one can travel..Upwards.However little those first good thoughts or events are as long as it lifts your confidence it,s a start and Springtime is the Ultimate time to bounce back just as the Earth springs into action...Just look at the Horse Chestnut leaves unfold and take their first photosynthetic breath..it,s Wonderful! My thoughts are with you today Mate....There are a lot of people rooting for you on this site,so feel all that positive ENERGY!!!...and never feel silly about what you feel the need to post,if it helps....Do it.
