  6. It certainly does it's job judging by the logs.
  7. I would say NO to advancing your line with a biner on it..it can dammage it.ive even seen a climber knock his front tooth out cos he had his visor up...coil it up into a tiny bundle to give it some weight also it will unravel as it drops over the branch...i like to clip a throwbag onto the eye.
  8. I'll gve it a try and if it's no good i will use my S.J.....until my Zig Zag arrives!
  9. Boss said that he doesn't want me to have to use my own gear and the lockjacks aren't being used by the others...what do you think of the L.J worcswuss?
  10. Ended the week in Doggy Do park (Silverhall) thus named as it has more of the brown stuff lying around per square foot than any other park in the borough. So although the tree fell was straightforward (Though it was hollow towards the top with paper thin holding wood it was an unpleasent clear up...on the plus side i would be giving all the wood to the boat people.. looking forward to working in Boston Manor Park which had some large Cedars that require some pruning back from the Manor...I have been waiting for the company to upgrade my climbing system as i am still on a prussick which isn't my first choice as i have been using a Spiderjack for over a year now...finally i have been given a lockjack to use.on first impressions it seems quite basic or is that because i am used to a S.J? I need advice on how to get the best out of it please:thumbup:
  11. Welcome Graham...where exactly are you based?
  12. Okay,Scratch the Treemotion off the list...it's what i was told by my team mate who uses one.....i think he is just jelous cos i use the Austria 2 and it IS Rated
  13. Good point....unless you are wearing a "Treemotion" or "AUSTRIA 2 Harness" as they have in a addition to side D's,they also have "Thigh" D's which are rated and you can hang in great comfort:)
  14. Shame you couldn't enjoy a traditional pint of Scrumpy jack looking at that view ay?
  15. Are there any trees worth climbing at this site?
