  1. It is a City Suburban Crew in a Scenario i have been part of many, many times...Plane repollard in Central London..as i have experience of both in the tree and on the ground i have to agree with Stephen..at that height you fo indeed have a birds eye view a long way in both directions...but the problem occurs because it is factory tree work at very quick commercial speed and isn't the carefuly thought out team work of a well tuned Arb crew...trust me!
  2. Not me Mr Goat...i never cycle on the road...i use cycle paths or along the Thames path...London is not a place you want to be on the road in anything other than a Unimig or 7.5 tonner:rolleyes:
  3. That should be a goodun Jon...is Matt going with you?
  4. You made the best choice:) my advice would be fix your foot in first...undo the band that goes accross your foot...back your heal in to the heal band and fasten over your foot...if your happy with that, fix your calf in...good'n' tight. they are a different feel to buckle straps...more like they are part of your lower leg than just strapped on...they are so well designed i find that i can just step around the tree rather than stabbing away...thats how i do it anyway...hope you like them...i thought i'd never change from Bashlins....until i discovered Gecko's:thumbup:
  5. Exactly what stephen said....+
  6. Fantastic post mate! good to hear you are so enthusiastic about the woods etc....
  7. Yep Mr Bodge...it really is Crap...But i am ever the eternal optimist and in the transition period from poor (today) to rich (tommorow) i am in a very good mood...felled a cherry this morning and got a couple or large Burrs from it.. And have some nice rings of Chestnut for the boat people and the SUN HAS COME OUT!:)
  8. I work exclusively in the "Green Spaces" of this part of London...i not refer to it as "Brown Spaces"...it is everywhere...and i don't see it ever being otherwise:thumbdown: there are more dogs running free around here and kids with dogs more in abundance than i've ever seen in my life..it is such an issue,it may make me consider my options..but hey....like i'm saying at the moment...its payday tommorow so i'm back on Cloud 9:):)
  9. Great thread Adam...you know i love this type if thing... Self promotion using pictures snd multi media is the way forward these days! Have you thought of making yourself a web site? Good luck with everything!:See you at an Arb show somewhere this year i hope:thumbup:

  11. Well....not long till payday and then i can pick up my computer!.It died at Xmas and i have only had my mobile. It's a great piece of tech, but after one month of squinting at the clear but small screen my eyes are suffering and as for the keyboard:rolleyes:...it is so handy to be able to access the internet and Arbtalk and of course check out the offerings of Varty and OMT on the T.V Girls thread via tapatalk...it is no replacment for a large screened laptop.even this post had to be corrected many times due to misspressed keys...so....only two days to go and i will be re united:):)

  16. I agree...its the pitch and timbre of their voices, twinned with seamless, high definition, highly hypnotic images that send you sweetly off to the land of Nod...great for insomniacs:)
