  6. the one that makes you money:biggrin: Or a 460
  7. And you think the commercial market is not price driven? out of the 7 contractors that win the la contract up here recently only one was aa approved, if you have your H & S in order then the commercial market is who you know and the price you submit. i like the idea of the AA scheme as a personal achievement and a great benchmark for our industry but it is years away ( if ever ) from being a necessary must have to succeed in this line of work. But the best of luck with your assessment.
  8. It's already out the ground dig that hole twice as deep and put it back in and bury it. You can try (if the saw has any life left) cutting accross the top of the stump as far down towards the roots as you dare then place a wedge in the saw cut and try and split it in half by hitting the wedge with a big hammer, YouTube chain saw sharpening to find out how to do it.
  9. Agree, I will be interested in the outcome of this thread. Keep us posted dean

  14. Yes it's great on fuel It occasionally happens but it always gets there. I have it full of chip and towing my 1300kg chipper it it copes well.
  15. I have the master so basically the same van, mine has been brilliant, I believe gearbox and mounts can be a problem but mine had a recon box just before I bought it, the 2.8 turbo lump under the bonnet also has plenty of power. I will be getting another when it's time to change.
  16. I also meant to say I now just keep 4 months wages in a savings account just in case. Get well soon, all the guys I know from Edinburgh through the training swear by this place, it may be worth a call. http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=space%20physio%20edinburgh&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CGgQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.spaceclinics.co.uk%2F&ei=kxisT9uAMaiQ0AWHhYxW&usg=AFQjCNF3n4qArOH2CS1tlcxGERCynDC13w&sig2=cuCHUvPltDnBk_dpcnJ0HA
  17. David, if you are thinking of taking insurance out for future injuries you may find they won't cover a previous injury, I went to get covered and had to list all ailments I had, also previous problems/injuries (there was no point in stretching the truth as they would have access to my doctors records) when I got the policy through Nothing that had a previous injury was covered, when I called them to explain that if anything goes in my body there's a good chance it would be a previous problem. Not covered, so in the end I never bothered as I got the impression that they would try to find a way not to pay.
