Perrenniporia fraxinea is the closest i could come to refering to pic's books etc, but still does'nt resemble it closely enough for my liking. I'm still learning to be honest, been a tree monkey for 17 years, only just took my RFS last thursday, so appreciate any feedback, all helps broaden my knowledge. Don't worry Brundle 2, i'm not usualy easilly confused, only if you speak to me in Latin:001_huh: -

No i'm not kidding, i'm asking. Was 1st thing before i had to get to working on it, still quite dark. Looks quite a distinctive funghi, purple/pinkish colouring, lot's of "blisters" on top of the bracket. Was hoping for someone who's very familier with fungus to be able to tell me. I'll take my lighting set up next time. -
At the base of a large Fraxinus. Dieback, not a ridiculous amount just yet, but mostly still safe enough for me to dismantle, just the one large bough i was'nt too happy about. Anybody help me out? .

I use a lass round my way who does leather repairs, bike jackets,gloves etc, she's put a new strap on my nato noko and it's better than new, cost me £5.Might be worth looking into if you can find someone locally and your case isn't too knackered.

I do think it helps the return of the grab to be honest, best to have it there than not in my opinion.

Should be a little grub screw in there somewhere, undo it with a long alan key, bung a new one on, sorted.

Great game, finished it the other day when i should of really been doing more productive things, but couldn't tear meself away. Moodybretticus is the tag my kids set up for me on x-box live, feel free to add if you like.Might even be me playing if the kids let me! Think i'm gonna pick up assassins creed 2 later tnite, enjoyed the 1st one.

Hitchclimber after many, many years of prussik, blakes etc. Love the thing.The muscle my upper right arm used to swell up/hurt like hell after a long days climbing on a prussik, but since spending a few quid on a H/C it's totally lengthened my climbing time, don't even feel the old muscle pain now. Still not had a go with a lockjack, had a bit of a nosey at the last Arb show i went to, but the price did put me off to be honest.Seems a lot to pay if you find you don't get on with it.

Having looked at my Roger Phillips book of mushrooms.........i have no idea. Closest i can see are maybe a young set of cystoderma cinnabarinum, but i'm not set on that myself, or maybe Russula.??? I'm sure someone more knowledgeable on this site can help you out, Orrrr maybe a variety of Pholiota having just had another quick look????

I don't give BMI any consideration to be honest. It's not variable enough, just two settings to work from. By it's reckoning half of any decent rugby team would be classed as obese. I'm borderline obese on the thing!I like a beer and a good plate of grub, but i don't know many obese fella's that can do this job day in day out. Maybe i'm just big boned?

15 stone and a bit according to the wii fit board. On which incidentaly.my balance is cracking, but i can't slalom ski to save melife! (i think a stone of this is beard too:wink:!)

I think it's more like quantity over quality myself. When people used to ask what you did for a living i'd usually get a supprised response, or "whats a tree surgeon do??". Now it's more like "oh, my mate does that, he's got a van and a bit o rope" There are still a lot of folks who are ignorant of the difference between a time served arborist and a man who'll "have a go" for £60 less or whatever. Don't get me wrong, there are a few really good, profesional firms out there, but from what i've seen out and about they seem outnumbered by the tracky bottom wearing cheaper than him brigade.

I'm doing the same exam in December mate, i'm just hitting the books(and internet) as often as possible, repetition,repetition repetition etc, just hoping what comes up in the exams is what's managed to stay stuck in my head..... Doing it all online with Myerscough, lots of dedication needed to do home study.Too many distractions around half the time. Sorry i can't give you any better advice than that.
