  5. hi thanks,whats the best way to work out m3 of a tree is it find the area then times by average dia ?like you would work out a cylinder size? or is there another calculation for trees? chris
  6. got offered this timber today 2 piles approx 22 lengths in each pile rangeing100mm-400mm dia would like some idea as to what its worth to buy as cant weigh it, any help would be greatly appreciated.

  9. not in my hse got rid of gas boiler 2yrs ago got a wood burner with b/boiler that runs c/h and hot water.only use gas for cooking now,average bill per quarter is £12.00:thumbup:
  10. ive just made my own 3p/l hydro splitter that runs of tractor hydrolics got a pto g/box and pump to fit to speed things up abit no pics but got a vid not sure how to load it onto the web tho
  11. mines £80 a hilux load too and a bag of kindling ,so recon thats about right for seasoned wood
  12. got 1 on my xp3120 36" and seems ok only 1 thing was paint didnt last long,stihl and oregon paint seems to stay on longer,other than that cant say i notice any differance only the price

  15. anyone know of any timber haulage companys that would haul cord timber from sussex to glos,or anyone got any cordwood closer ? or where to find some
  16. bugger would have helped you out if closer,would cost me 30 quid a day in fuel there and back tho
  17. might want to check the tank breather its a plastic pipe with a threaded screw inon top of the tank, in it take out the threaded screw and hacksaw a slot 90 degres to the threads then put back in u should be able to blow trough it.this being blocked give the same symtoms as running out of fuel,hope this helps

  19. that load is roughly two of my hilux level loads so £160 for me, hardwood only tho:thumbup:
